At one time I was using Huggies but now I use Pampers Swaddlers and LOVE them.. Huggies were tight around my babies legs and the swaddlers are a perfect fit...
I was wondering if any of you mother of little baby girls have found a particular diaper for a girl? I used pampers cruisers for my son because they are higher in the front.. any suggestions will be helpful.

We used the pampers swaddlers and loved them. Now that she's in a size 3 (swaddlers stops at 2) we use the cruisers.
When my daughter was a newborn, I used Pampers Swaddlers. I also attempted to use Huggies. I didn't have the problems that some of my mommy friends had with Huggies, but I thought the Swaddlers were a better "fit."
I've also tried Luvs (in an effort to save money), but it was NOT a pleasant experience. My daughter, who is now 11 months, is in Pampers Cruisers (which are the same as Pampers Swaddlers except for babies in size 3 and up). I also tried the Baby Dry and didn't have a problem with them; the Swaddlers/Cruisers just have a little extra padding.
Luvs fit our daughter really well, although I see in this thread that other people didn't like them. Other brands leaked, and Luvs didn't -- so we stayed with Luvs. As she got older, it didn't seem to be as big of a problem, so we would just use whatever was cheapest.
So far, I've been using Pamper's Swaddlers. I absolutely detest LUVS. They smell so bad. My 3 1/2 month old is just now starting size twos and I may just cry when we have to go to threes, as they don't go that high. LOL
When I had my daughter I tried every diaper made...and the only one I liked were Pampers Cruisers. I would say to stick with them! I plan to use them for my son also - who is just now becoming mobile!
I loved the Pamper's baby-dry's. The Cruisers worked very good too, but I would get more Baby dries for the same price as the Cruisers. I tried everything else in the book, and the only one I wouldn't reccomend for a girl is Huggies baby-shaped. They are SUPPOSED to be shaped for the baby, but I always had issues with somethin coming out of the sides if you know what I mean! :)
I honestly found Target diapers to be the best. I tried them ALL- Luvs, pampers, etc. and the Target diapers are not only the cheapest, but they worked the best for us and our daughter.
HI , My name is S.. We have a 15 month old little girl. We used to use all the expensive diapers made by Pampers-the swaddles and etc. We met a couple while shopping at SAM's CLUB one weekend when our daughter was 7 months old, who had twin boy/girl and swore that the SAM's diapers were better than all those other expensive brands. My husband and I were skeptical and bought a box. The swaddles were running 17-28 dollars for their largest packs which (honeslty I cannot remember, I think 76 a pack). We bought a box of 156 diapers for around 21 dollars at SAM's. We were blown away by the price. I have to tell you, we have NEVER had a leaky moment with our daughter and she's so active! We will never spend more money than we have to again. I also bought the wipes that are made by SAM's club, I wouldn't advise to purchase those. My daughter developed a rash-even thought they were labled "fragrance free". We use the Huggies Mega "fragrance free" and she has never had a rash or an issue with her skin. Good luck!
I have had pretty good luck with the Huggies Supreme Natural Fit.
I've used Huggies and Pampers and found them both to be fine. We tried Luvs and hated the tape tabs! In case the little one wriggles, taping skin to that tab isn't pleasant. There are new Playskool (?) diapers out -- PASS THOSE BY. They're awkward in their construction for girls IMO. Some people have posted about SAM's Club diapers. While I haven't used those, I have bought the Kirkland Brand at Costco and could recommend them. They are definitely cheaper! Costco sells Huggies in large boxes, too... so if they have a coupon for those that's what I buy.
Congrats on your little girl.
I have a 6 month old baby girl who is breastfed, and I use and love Pamper's Baby Dry, they are thin and absorb everything!! She is currently in size 3, she is my little chunky monkey.
I don't know whether these are "better" for girls... I have a son. But I have just started using Gdiapers. They are flushable and therefore don't end up in the land fill. I love that! You can actually compost them too (the wet ones). From the design, they would be equally as good for boys or girls, I think. I love them...less chemical exposure for my son AND more environmentally responsible.

I've been using Pampers Cruisers and have had no problem.
I have an 8 month old daughter and I have been using stage 3 Huggies... I think they work great!... You should give them a try! Good luck! Also, if you buy them from Sam's Club they are much cheaper. You get like 200 diapers for $35.
definiterly pampers for girls... huggies leak on them.
for this stage pampers swaddlers and later pampers cruisers\good luck
I used Pampers (all kinds) for my girl. She is 9 months old now. I used the swaddlers first, then the cruisers and the baby-dry flex. I like the cruisers now the best, since she is mobile. I tried Huggies brand, but for me, every time I used them they leaked. I like their wipes over pampers wipes though. Good Luck and Congrats on the new baby!!!
Hi L.,
I found that Pampers Swaddlers worked for us when my daughter was a baby! I also liked the Pampers Babydry a lot. Both types always managed to keep her dry and keep her poop inside the pamper ;-). Hope it works!

Hey L., I have tried every single diaper out there, brand name or otherwise for my little girl. I have found that pampers swaddlers have less leaks, and just feel softer. My sister swears by the huggies for boys though. Hope this helps........
I liked Pampers swaddlers when my daughter was born. I used them until she got into the size 3--those only come in newborn, 1, and 2. Now I use either Pampers Baby Dry or Cruisers (Emily is 14 mos). Pampers just seem to fit her better than Huggies!
I have a 33 month old daughter. I used Pamper Swaddlers and then as she got older we used the Cruisers. I never had a problem with them. My brother has two girls, ages 6 and 2, and he has used Huggies for both of them. Hope this helps.
