So What Happened?

@SM, I have no idea, I just know that one shot of vodka has 60 calories... I figure if I'm going to have a drink once in a blue moon this close to my wedding, I better make a healthy choice, LOL ;)

Oh, that's a tough one. I'd say it's a wash. Vitamin water has less calories than the juice, but I think the vodka has less calories than the wine.

Either way, it's empty calories, so if you're gonna do it, pick the one you like the best. haha!

The wine, for sure. It's not distilled.

#2. My SIL delightedly told me that vodka is lower in calories, and we all know how good cranberry juice is for our urinary tracts!

Vodka and cranberry - I prefer the real sugars over the artificial sweeteners that I think are in vitamin water. I would imagine the first one with the wine might be higher in calories anyway since the wine has so much sugar?

The second sounds yummier to me too!

What's the right answer?

PS- Just noticed you said lite cranberry juice, so forget my sweetener comment. On pure calories, I still think number one is higher.

Considering the fact that Vodka is pure starch (made from potatoes) and juice is mostly sugar... the wine cocktail is probably lower in carbs.

Either way, enjoy!

vodka Cranberry of course!
Absolut and Cran or
Stoli Cran were my drink of choice "back in the day".
:)

Just be careful if you are wearing white. Cranberry can stain if you don't get any spills out quickly. ;)

Edited to add: I actually have tried the XXX vitamin water. It is one of the 3 flavors I will drink (XXX, lemonade, and Orange-- the rest are ALL tooooo sweet for me). Maybe you could try the vodka with the XXX ? That might taste pretty good...

Neither. None of it's good for you. Vitamin water is the WORST, though. Low calorie does not equal healthy, sorry.

Well I'm thinking, which one has less calories? I don't know the calories in the vitamin water. Wine has lots of calories.
I would go for the vodka and juice but also add zero calorie tonic so you use less juice.

Uh, beer.

Damn, that wasn't one of the choices was it?

Guess I'd have to go with the vino, then.

But you really should think about expanding your bar menu!
