Which HCG Drops to Get?

I'm thinking about starting the HCG diet using the drops, and wondering what company people recommend? If I go to my doctor (who offers the injections and drops) I'll pay about $800. Or I could order the online homeopathic drops version... which I have heard doesn't work as well, but costs only about $80 - $140 depending on the company. So, those of you who have done HCG, what did you choose and were you happy with your choice?

(and for all of the lovely ladies who want to tell me I should do WW or eat less/exercise more... please feel free, but I've done the research and am pretty certain this is a good choice for my particular situation. Thanks)

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks to the two people who provided companies; I appreciate it. To the naysayers... I understand that you have a point of view and you're certainly entitled to it. However, I'm going to trust my doctor -- a licensed medical doctor -- who said that she has read all of the clinical studies and is comfortable recommending the HCG diet. In her professional opinion, the drops certainly DO do something. They're the reason the body burn excess fat on this diet and the reason why people aren't fainting right and left only consuming 500 calories a day.

If you think this diet will work for you, great, but you don't need the drops, they do nothing. It is the eating only 500 cal a day on this plan that causes the weight loss, and is why many will gain it back since this damages your metabolism, and can weaken your whole body, and damage your heart if done to long. Because of those risks alone I would talk to my doctor first, before deciding which drops to get. They are not magic in a bottle, just another scam like all the other "miracles" out there, and if you are going to be consuming only 500 cal a day a doctor needs to keep a close eye on your health.

My former colleague did this with success thus far but I feel if you put 0.5 ml of ANYTHING in your mouth and eat no more than 500 calories/daily, you will lose weight for sure!! The brand she bought is DIY HCG and I think was about $75 (on-line)

I also call on physicians that help the patient (not with this brand) with counseling on the HCG, blood work, weighing, blood pressure and monitoring during the process....gotta have blood work done prior to starting.

If you are absolutely convinced that this is the way you want to go, that eating healthy and bumping up the exercise isn't a good situation, OK.
I'm much more for eating healthy and working out hard four days per week.

**Everly, check out all the funky nuances of the diet as well. My friend can't use body lotion, make up, certain hair products. She is thinner but feels icky!

My friend is doing it. She had knee surgery and she's been off her feet recovering so this has been working for her since you're not suppose to work-out while doing the drops.

My issue is not working-out at all. I don't see how she'll be able to keep the weight off after she's done taking the drops and only eating 500 calories.

My friend has tried HCG solution you can get from GNC and so far she's lost about 35pounds over a 2 month period. She's not doing the restricted 500 cal diet though so its a slower weight loss.

I have done two rounds of the HGC diet and was very pleased with my results. I went through a doctors office to get the drops. My first round was before I got pregnant with my third child. I was on the drops for 40 days and lost 25 lbs. My second round was after my third child and I lost about 22 lbs. It was a great choice for me because I liked all the foods on the diet list and I was 25 lbs from my goal weight.

This is a very hard diet because of the calorie limit but I feel if you can keep your self focused on the goal it is a great diet. I have had good luck keeping the weight off and figuring out what foods my body respond to and which one will make me gain the weight back.

Good luck Do what you feel comfortable with.

I had a friend in Florida do this via his doctor. While he lost 35 lbs in 30 days, it was VERY hard on him.

I would not do this diet. I don't think he'll do it again. He had to limit his intake to 500 calories each day. Once the 30 days was over, he had some issues with his body still being in fight or flight mode - he's managed to keep off 30 of the 35 lbs and it's been 3 months.
