Hi. I'm a single dad and I could really use a little help with this one. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to what insurance to go with for my son. I am torn between Mercy Care - Care 1st - and PHP Communities. If you could offer any information on which insurance covers the most medical, has a wide range of doctors, and the least amount of headache to deal with, it would greatly be appreciated. thank you for your help.

Thanks to each and everyone of you for your responses. I think I will go with Mercy Care, I called my pediatrician (Arrowhead Pediatrics) and they said they accept it, so I think im set! Thanks again for all your help.

hi, My father in law has custody of his 3 grandchildren of his daughter, they have Mercy care I have never heard Papa complain about it, I think his rx are only a dollar and I am not sure what he pays as a copay but he is retired on fixed income and never says anything bad about, infact He is very thankful they have it. Goodluck!!

It all depends on your preferance, I actually work with the AHCCCS program and it depends. Does he have a pediatrician and if so then what do they take? Mercy Care is really good, but so are the other ones. If you are covered under AHCCCS then they all cover the same things, all need referrals to see a specialist etc... My suggestion would be to go to the websites and do your research there.... Call ###-###-#### and ask fo the websites....Sorry I am not at work or I would just post them here for you. Hope this helps a little

Hi, I have Mercy care for my son and I love it. The co-pays are only $1, and I never pay anything for prescriptions either. They have a wide range of docs also..Good luck!
