N.K.
Try Spa Bella Casa in Edina. My friend and I went there last weekend and she is pregnant. They had a pillow for her belly so they could work on her back. She said it was great!
After calling around with no luck to quite a few salons, I'm hoping you have a recommendations for a great place to get a pregnancy massage. Most places, if they do them, just have you turn on one side. I want a massage table with indents for belly and breasts and place that's very mellow.

Hi C.- I can totally relate! I actually just had one last Friday as I am only 1 week from my due date. I have been going to this place for massages in general and have had pregnancy massages with all 3 pregnancies. The tables there do have the drop out belly spot. Helen Flynn at the Sanctuary Salon and Spa in Eden Prairie. It is $90 for 60 minutes and worth every penny. She is a senior massage therapist and her favorite ones to do are pregnancy. The phone number is ###-###-####. I hope you go there and enjoy! Good luck with your new one as well.
I have had PG massages at Juut in Roseville.. it's a man who does it, his name is Ulysses and it was fantastic! He uses hot stones and has the special pillows so you can spend as much time as you want on your belly.
I also had one done at Lite Spa downtown, also good. AND they also do them at the Aveda Institute in NE. The students there love pregnant ladies because it gives them needed practice.
My favorite was Juut though. As long as you are comfortable with a guy doing the massage, I totally recommend Ulysses.
Good luck!

You'll have to double-check with them on the massage table. but I know that they do great massages, and believe that they do a good pregnancy massage, too:
Two lovations, one Uptown, one in NE Mpls.
Good luck!!

Sister Rosalind's does. I think they have two locations, one is in St. Paul on Ford Parkway. They are in the phone book. It's a good place to go.
I would recommend Nissa Valdez who owns Estrella. She has her own little space inside of One Yoga Studio in Uptown. Although she doesn't have a special table with an indent, she does an amazing job with pillow propping and I've never had a problem being comfortable. I have gone to her for years and went for both of my pregnancies. She also has great success at sending women into labor when the time comes with some pressure point work on the feet.

The Day Spa in Edina does pregnancy massages. I just had one in September by a girl in Kari Colon. They don't have the indents in the tables but she did and awesome job and I would highly recommend her.
This was many years ago so I don't know if they still do them, but I had one when I was very pregnant at The Day Spa in Edina and they had a special device/mattress for me to lay on so I could lay face down. It had an indent for my belly.
Hi~
I used two wonderful people in Burnsville, Diane Krueger or Katie???? I will follow up later with a phone number for you. They both are great.
juut salonsapas offer incredible prenatal massage...and you can lay on your tummy!
I lived in Iowa when I was pregnant with my daughter, but I went to an Aveda salon and they had the pregnancy belly pillow thing. I think most Aveda salons will be the same up here. So if you have any close to you, I would call and see... I had a few massages at Aveda and they are really good. Plus they use a lot of awesome smelling oils. Good luck!
Try a place that also does chiropractic b.c if they don't have an actual massage table they usually have a chiropractic table that indents to accommodate a pregnant belly. That's where I went for massage when I was pregnant. I lived in Arizona at the time so I am assuming you don't want to travel that far but checking in to a couple of local chiropractors should yield you some results

have you tried some of the reputable therapeutic massage places like keep in touch?
not sure if they have the tables you're describing, but i think they specifically offer prenatal massage & i think they have a website.
good luck & congratulations!

Spalon Montage gives prenatal massages with the indented cushion so you can lay on your belly. I had one at the Woodbury location in July when I was 7 months pregnant and it was fabulous! When you make your appt just let them know you're pregnant...they have therapists who specialize in prenatal massage, too. I believe the cost was around $75 for 55 minutes, and well worth it!
My mom just gave me a gift certificate for a watsu massage at Courage Center, where she works. It's like a shiatsu but in the water, and I understand they work with a lot of pregnant women. I haven't tried it yet, but she says it's amazing; you basically lie in the water and get a massage while the water holds you up. So you could try Courage Center, though I have no idea what the prices are like. Good luck!
Any of the JUUT salons in the twin cities do pregnancy massage so if roseville is out of your way or you are not comfortable with a man you can try any of their locations.
I have had several "pregnancy" massages at the lifetime in woodbury. They have a belly/breast pillow, great comfortable rooms and wonderful massage therapists. I would highly recommend Charity. She is great. You do not have to be a lifetime member to go.
