Wiggly Play Center or Pump It Up??

My son will be turning 4 this summer. I can't decide btw a party at Wiggly Play Center or Pump It Up in N Dallas. I know he wants the Wiggly Play Center but I am afraid it will be a mad house! I took him to Pump It up and he didn't want to leave but he keeps saying he wants a "Wiggly Party". I love the idea of a private party but maybe I am being too hard on the Wiggle Play Center. Has anyone had a party at either of these locations? I need some help in choosing btw the two. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Lauren,

We had our daughter's 3rd bday at PIU Frisco (now one of the locations has a PIU Junior for younger kids - didn't have that then). It was great - you get your own play room and then your own party room. However, it was very expensive. The Frisco location only uses Papa John's for pizza (if you go that route) and it was soooo expensive. Other locations use cheaper pizza places. Then I was taxed and tipped on the total price - which was a lot. That was by far, the most expensive bday she's had to date (about to turn 5 and we've done one each year).

We attended a party at Wiggly Play Center on a Friday night. I don't know if it was the day/time but I think we were the only party in there (maybe one more) - and it didn't seem chaotic. I know the kids didn't care as much about the Wiggle time as they did playing. They had a blast.

I also recommend NOT opening gifts at the party - especially at this age. It's a beating and the kids would rather play than sit and watch gift opening!

Good luck!

I had my sons 4th birthday party at Wiggly and it was ok. It was crazy though. I don't think that I would do it again but I will say that the kids had a great time. Another place that you might want to check out it Adventure kids playcare. They rent out the place all to your party on Sundays. It would be something different then a bouncy house party.

I've had a Pump It Up party, & I've been to a Wiggles party. Pump It Up is more private...you get the whole room & party room to yourself. The Wiggles place was packed!!!!

We love both places! But PIU would be easier keeping track of the kiddos. If your little man is set on having a wiggly party, have it at PIU and have Wiggles Decor in the private room and do Wiggle goodie bags. He might think he is getting the best of both worlds. Good luck and Happy Birthday!

Hi Lauren,

That is a fair concern! We had our daughter's 3rd B-day party at the Wiggly play center in March. They had a wonderful time! We got a private room for two hours where they got to sing songs, dance, and eat (we held off on opening presents there - thought it would be WAY too distracting). They got to play before and after the party in the play area up to all day if they chose (Elizabeth would STILL be there if we let her!) We were partial to the Wiggly play center because the food seems to be better. THe staff was very accommodating, and I love the security they have in place. We had a wonderful experience.

Good luck! I know whatever you choose your son will have a fantastic time!
