Read my last question from last night...didn't know it was almost 11 pm when I posted it...not too many responses..."7yo pooping in pants". Thank you in advance! I really wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this and what their ped had told them the reason it is happening...just couldn't wait for a doctors appointment that may or may not happen.

What can I do next?

I just read your question and you got great responses. Why do you need any more? Talking to the mom about going to the pediatrician is what a couple of people suggested and I agree wholeheartedly.

Sunshine just took the words out of my mouth... so to speak. I'm not sure what other sort of answer you are looking for. Everyone who suggested seeing a pediatrician (today! because there can be some serious medical issues at hand) was correct. This isn't something they can tackle 'at home', because whatever is happening at home isn't working for this poor little boy.

Pediatrician or urgent care, if you need another option. But certainly, he needs to see a doctor today. The poor child cannot pick up the phone and make the appointment himself and he's in pain. I can't think of any other reasonable alternative, from what you are describing.

He needs pull ups and to see a doctor.
There are some medical conditions where a person does not have control over when they poop/pee and they never grow out of it.
He needs some medical help and the adults around him need information and a bit of counseling about how to handle the condition.

They need to take him to the ped and/or a counselor. I believe he is holding his poop - my oldest did this till he was about 8, and he bit his nails, but he never did it so bad that he actually pooped on the floor.
