My son had been attending a Montessori school in El Paso and we are moving to Grapevine. I would like to put him in public school if I learn they are good. However, I need to find a private school option to give to my x-husband just in case he makes a stink about moving him to a public school. It's a little complicated because I am newly divorced and am trying to relocate and make the transition easier for my X to swallow... any help is appreciated.

What can I do next?

My daughter is attending Bedford Christian School. Grapevine is like right next to Bedford and could be close for you. It is a small school but a well structured one. I personally do not like any public schools and my daughter has been in Christian school since K. Here is the website:

Hope this helps.

Grapevine schools are among the best in the state. We moved here so that we would not need to worry about paying private school tuition. When you move here, you will be paying extra $$ in taxes for the good schools so you may as well use them!

Hope this helps,

Having worked in the El Paso area and lived in Alamogordo I am a little familiar with the area. Most of the private schools here, especially in the Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake and Keller area's are all great in comparison. The private schools here are a little pricey and while great, most have a specific secular agenda you may not be used to coming from a montessori background. There is a montessori here however, I have heard mixed reviews about it from the moms in my group.
I think you will feel much better and safer here than in El Paso.

My neighbor sends both of her children to Faith Christian School in Grapevine. They love the school, but I think it is pretty pricey. Anyhow, I have attached the link. Good luck with your move!

My oldest goes to Barbara Gordon Montessori in Colleyville. It is about $7300/ year. It is well known & highly recognized. Wonderful teachers & just a fantastic place. Give them a try. http://www.bgordonmontessori.com/
