Wisconsin Dells Hotel Water Park Recommendations for 1 & 5 Year Olds

I was at the Dells once and stayed at a resort called Meadowbrook. Their website is www.meadowbrookresort.com , at the time my son was 3 or 4 years old. There are several choices for accomodations, we stayed in the lodge in a bunk house suite that included a kiddie cabin, an area blocked off for the kids that resembled a cabin. It had a kitchenette. The room was large, I had a patio and out my patio was a pool.

This particular location is off the beaten path, not in the downtown area. It isn't very fancy, and I am going to guess it is on the lower end of the spectrum for price. What I liked about at the time is that their pool was a good choice for the little ones, no big water slide, larger sized wading pool for the kids. I didn't mind being away from the hub bub. I think the Dells are rather touristy, I guess it depends on what you prefer.

In essence I think this location is an economical choice and good for little kids. If you prefer something more showy I wouldn't go here.

We recently stayed at Jellystone just outside the Dells in Warrens, WI. Our kids are 3 and 6 and they had a blast! It has a huge kiddie area and water slides for the adults, too. They have an indoor area and an outdoor area for the summer.

A few years ago when our daughter was 1 (and an only child), we camped for a week in the Dells and visited a water park that had a zero depth intrance to the wave pool and a very large kiddie area. I'm not sure of the name of that particular place, but it was on the main water park strip and was the last on the right side of the strip.

If you like wine, check out Wollersheim winery just outside the Dells. We did a vineyard tour and still have their wine shipped to us!

We love the Wilderness resort! My family went with our then 9 month old and he loved it! They have 3 indoor waterparks and 2 outdoor parks. They also have an awesome indoor play area that both your children will love. My son crawled to the top and loved going down the slides. We had so much fun. Hope you do too!
