I have gone to Dr Dohr for 6 years, right after she joined the practice. At the time it was two doctors. She was awesome and gave me very personal attention. I have recommended her to several others who all really like her. Now the practice has 4 doctors and is much more impersonal. I guess that's the reality of medicine, particularly OB/Gyn. I was very happy with Dr. Dohr for my pregnancies, however, I don't know that it is the same experience anymore (my youngest is now 2).

Good luck.....

Hi J.,

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I had my first baby in April and delivered with Novas and Associates. I never saw Dr. Coll so I can't say anything about her but I did see Dr. Novas, Keith and Dohr. Dr. Keith and Dohr were so nice and patient, and I was SO happy that Dr. Keith delivered my daughter. I agree with the previous post that Dr. Novas knows her stuff but she is very matter of fact and somewhat cold. She was certainly my least favorite. I am pregnant again and will return to Novas and Assoicates. Overall, I got good care.

I go to Novas and Associates for a quire some time now. Dr. Coll delivered my older son (5 in March) and Dr. Dohr my youngest son (2 in April). I have only the good experience with office visits/hospitals/deliveries/their knowledge and sensitivity. I would highly recommend them!

Hi J.,

I've been going to Novas and Associates for a couple years and I am 18 weeks pregnanct with my first. My doctor is Dr. Coll and she is very knowledgable and personable and I have liked going to her. I've met most of the other doctors once and have had a similar impression. I would say that the office is very busy so I have to arm myself with my list of questions before I go because they move you quickly through doctor visits. However, if you do have questions, the doctors are glad to answer them. But there are many things I wouldn't even know to ask if I didn't read the pregnancy books or talk to my friends with kids. Since this is my first, I'm not sure if this is typical of a doctor's office.

Hi J., I have delivered my two children with them and would highly recommend them. All the Dr.s are great and very on top of things. The office and staff are great too. Congrats and good luck to you!

Hi J.,

I had my son on June 1 and went to Novas and Associates. I was happy with their care, but the doctors' bedside manner varies greatly. My favorite doctor was Dr. Keith because she was warm, gentle, very capable and patient with me when I had "first mom" questions. I had a pretty good experience with all of the other doctors, except one. Dr. Novas runs the show, but isn't warm and fuzzy at all. She didn't even shake my hand and introduce herself at my first appointment, which was very disappointing to an excited first-time mom. She ended up delivering my son after breaking my water at the office. It wasn't her intention, but her cervical "checks" were pretty rough. She wasn't very supportive in the delivery room, especially at 2 am! She knows her stuff, and I always felt I was in good hands, despite the ice queen treatment. Overall, I was able to get in for appointments when I needed them, they took good care of me and I couldn't beat the location, as I live right in Barrington. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Hope this helps!
