I bought a wooden one from Toys R Us 5 years ago. My kids 7 and 3 love it and it is holding up great. The bolts do need to be tightened about once a year. I also put a weather sealant on it.
Has anyone purchased a swing set from Toys R Us? I would like to purchase one for my kids for Christmas but I don't know how durable they are. Any information will help. Thx

I researched this back in the spring, looking at Toys R Us, Sams, and Costco. We ended up with the one at Costco. I think in these scenarios you definitely get what you pay for...if you are spending around 400-600 dollars, you will probably get something that might last 2-3 years with small children playing on it. It was helpful to me to read the reviews. My friend bought one from Toys R Us, and she said the bolts need to be retighted every now and then, but that it served her purpose for small kids...she spend around 500 dollars on hers. I think thinking about how long you want it to last, how old your kids are, and of course what your budget is are all good things to consider.
We bought a swing set from there about 3 or 4 years ago for my son and his cousins, and it is still going strong. It was the metal kind not the wooden ones.
We got ours from Sams (no Costco here). I think you get more bang for your buck than the ones at Toys R Us.
