I am with you. I also have been blessed with chicken legs, though I build muscles in my arms and quads fairly quickly.

Are you also lifting weights? Weight machines for the legs, especially the calves, are one of my favorite things for building muscle. The step machines or the treadmill on a high slope is good for building calves. Also, you can wear those ankle weights when you do zumba and walk. Do workouts especially aimed for building leg muscles, such as calf raises, and eat protein or protein shakes as well:

When I was a teenager, I was in gymnastics and we used the football player's leg weight machine. I STILL have great leg muscles from using it and I'm now 29! Squats with weights are also a great workout.

My answer has two parts. First, do some simple leg exercises every other day. Try squats and lunges. If you search the Internet, there are a variety of ways to do them that will keep you from getting bored. But, strength training is going to build that muscle. Try a cardio interval class. Those are great!

Nutritionally, to help build that muscle, be sure you're eating plenty of protein. And, after any kind of strength training you need to eat protein within 30-45 minutes of exercising to help repair your muscle (think a handful of nuts or an apple with peanut butter).

Good luck!

Swimming always works your leg muscles. I started a DVD workout a couple weeks back called INSANITY. Its a series of DVDs mostly cardio, abs, but a ton of leg work. Best of luck!
