I have been working this whole time I have been pregnant and has not been to hard of a task. The only problem I have had tell now is that I am just so tired when I get home it is hard to spend time with my 4 year old. I didnt work when I was pregnant with him didnt start work tell he was 2 1/2 or so. But my problem now is that my body is just getting so wore out most days it is hard for me to roll out of bed. I have a desk job so in all it is not a hard job but my back has been bothing me so much most days I can barly make it threw the day. Not sure if I am asking for advice or just getting some stuff off my chest. All I know is that this point is I just cant wait to have my little boy and my body to be back to normal!

What can I do next?

With my first two kids I worked until the day I gave birth. (Literally) With my third I was so tired, that my boss was wonderful enough to let me work half days. Then i would go home and take a little nap and feel more energized to spend time with my kids. Good luck

I am a stay at home mom of a 4 year old boy and a 1 year old girl! I wanted to find a stay at home job that I would enjoy and keep me home with my family. I finally found a company that has blessed my family in so many ways! I don't have to sell, do parties, order, stock/ship inventory, and there is NO risk! If you are motivated, you can make money at home too! The Mom Team is a non-profit support group partnered up with a wellness company. I LOVE what I do, and we have lots of support! Hi C.,

I don't know if this is a financial option for you, of if you job has any flexibility, but if so, I would see if you can cut back on your work hours some and take a nap somewhere before you get him from daycare/go home (however childcare arrangements are handled). I'm not talking about a long nap, but maybe just an hour of sleep before see him again - and you might be a little more refreshed to spend time with him. I'm also not talking about a long-term solution, just through the final weeks of pregnancy.

Another idea that came to my head was to see if you can switch to 4 10-hour days and get an extra day off to spend with him. I don't know if thats possible either, but something else that just came to mind.

Good luck with the delivery!

Hi C., for your back pain a lumbar support cushion for your chair would help. As far as the fatique, sometimes a short walk outside during the day can be just as invigorating as a cat nap. Hope you are feeling better soon!

I'll have to agree with Krystle here. When I was pg & working (and I didn't even have another child at home) I'd drive to the far end of some parking lot, use my cell phone's alarm to wake me, & I'd recline the seat & pass out in the car for 30 - 45 minutes. Also, if you can keep your son at his childcare provider for an extra little while, another 30 minute nap before you pick him up would be helpful.

I don't know what your thoughts are on breastfeeding, but let me tell you, it was the best thing I ever did for a number of reasons, and one of them is related to this... you will have built in 20 minute breaks twice a day if you pump at work! I would just chill out & doze off slightly at 10 & 2 every day for my daughter's first year. And you know good and well that naps are a rare commodity to a parent with an infant!

Best of luck!
