Ok so, i want to upgrade on my cell phone, and the one i want is the LG chocolate touch, but down at the bottom of the advertisement it says "pre owned certified" I know that these phones are used, but also passed all the testing to make sure they work good enough to sell. Question is... should i buy it? Thoughts?

What can I do next?

I bought a pre-owned Blackberry and for the past year it's been great, no issues. I guess it's a gamble though.

It would depend on how much it cost, and what sort of service they'd put on the phone if indeed it has issues/errors - ie, are they going to fix it for free or charge you a service fee or will they do nothing?

i personally wouldn't but thats just cuz i like things new. :) plus i'm paranoid about stuff like that breaking. as long as there's at least a 1 year warranty, i say go ahead and buy it. if its only something like 3 months though, i'd be hesitant. good luck!

I would just ask what type of warranty is provided-if it's decent then yes.

I wouldn't buy it, simply because I hated my chocolate touch. The front was extremely sensitive and I was always doing things I didn't want to do. Putting people on speaker, or setting it to mute. And the spinny thing on the front was always doing weird things. I got rid of it the first chance I got to change my phone with Verizon.

However, I would buy pre-owned.

Why not? O. man's trash is another man's treasure!
There's probably some sort of warranty.

I agree with everyone else about checking on the warrenty. Main thing is that I was told (by a Verizon agent) that there are lots of issues with the LG chocolate, really look into that phone first!
