Grandma T, I thought you were my friend. Did you HAVE to mention this?
:)
Oh....how I'm dreading this time of year.
I live in a cruddy place that never really gets a summer and I have to admit it breaks my heart when I read all the posts about how everyone is suffering in the heat.
I live in the wrong place and that's my problem. One of these days, I'm going to rectify that. My son only has this year and next year until he graduates high school.
I wasn't born and raised where I am. I've never liked it here.
It's just cold and drizzly, foggy, rainy all the time and then it's colder and drizzlier and foggier and rainier.
This year has gone by so fast.
For me, it sucks because we don't ever really get "seasons" so therefore I don't get to enjoy that part of life.
Anyway, Halloween is my favorite and I'm looking forward to that. It will be my grandson's first Halloween. My daughter turns 25 the day before.
I'm like Ephie, (Hey, Ephie!).....I'm trying to pep talk myself.
There's been Christmas stuff in the stores since September. I'm already over it and it hasn't even happened.
So, there's my venting about the situation. It's true, time goes by much faster as you get older. My birthday is in December. I think maybe I'll just skip this one.
My little grandson has lots of firsts coming up so my mood will surely improve.
I'm going to try to avoid dilemmas as much as possible.
Happy October 1st to you too!!!
