I've used that and white board and magnet paint. I was happy with all of it. Be sure you buy enough to do triple coats.
We're thinking of doing part of a wall in my son's room with chalkboard paint. The room has chair molding so probably just the bottom half of the wall below the molding. Does it work? Do you have to put any special primer on? Is it painful to paint over later? Just interested in your experiences. Thank you!

we painted our old fridge with it and love it, but I wouldn't put it directly on a wall because it will be very difficult to paint over. I would either hang a dry erase board, or get a piece of wood or something you can paint with it and than mount to the wall.
A neighbor did this and it's pretty cute. Except for the chalk dust.
I purchased a large whiteboard instead for my kids and mounted it down low and bought whiteboards markers. The colors are great. And they still use it.
It is very hard to paint over. You will need to sand the wall to make it smooth and to get the old paint surface ready for new paint application. You can use primer since the wall has been painted before if you are not sanding.
We recently decided on just making a chalk board instead of painting the wall. Painting over black (chalkboard color) is super hard!
Good luck!
have fun
I don't recommend it because it teaches kids how to draw on the walls I like magnetic paint good luck my brother did one wall n I don't know anything about it cuz we r not close sorry good luck!
We painted my daughter a chalk board on her wall and my husband cut wood to line it and we painted it purple. Its super cute and was easy. The stuff we bought just said to make sure the wall is clean and dry. No primer needed. The only thing I do suggest (I didn't think of it) is build a little ledge on the bottom so it catches the dust!
