Yellowing Sheets

My husband is a very clean person, but his body chemistry is turing our new sheets yellow. He is healthy, doesn't smoke, etc...
We have been married for 10 years. Not every sheet set we have had has turned, but I don't know what brands worked well, as we don't have them any longer.
Has anyone else out there had this problem? What are some solutions? I am really eager for some feedback, as it is no fun changing sheets when the ones you are putting on the bed look stained! Okay...is never going to be 'fun' to change sheets, but at least I could feel like I am putting on 'clean' sheets.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

It is good to know that my husband isn't the only oily person out there. I am going to get rid of the sheets I have, and my mom is goijng to buy us some darker sheets for Xmas. Someday, when I find some lighter ones that do not turn yellow, I will be taking note of the brand and material it is made from. I prefer light colored sheets if I can find some that work for us.

I can relate! After years of trying to fight it, we now have chocolate brown sheets...you can't see the stains. I have tried every trick out there and nothing seemed to work(stain fighters, bleach, vinegar solutions, aspirin pastes!) - I'll be checking back to see if anyone has anything we haven't tried yet.

My dh has this issue too. He seems to think its because he drools in his sleep. We used to have white sheets and I redid our room and we have now dark brown sheets. His pillows still look nasty but at least I can cover those up.

I have the same problem. But my problem is that my DH is greasy. Well, in all fairness, he has oily skin, especially on his back, face and hair. I tried the darker sheets with no real difference. I tried to contain it to the pillows by making him sleep with a shirt on, but he hates that. So, I have thrown up my hands in defeat. I would also like to know if anyone else has a suggestion besides replacing them more often with cheap sheets, which I hate, but I do anyway.

Are you bleaching them because sometimes bleach will turn white yellow. If not then I am not sure why this is happening, but you could try color safe bleach, oxy-clean or other stain remover. If none of this works I would probably just buy darker sheets next time best of luck.
