Hi M.,
I certainly feel your pain - both about the expense of classes at studios, and the difficulty of doing an effective yoga practice at home (I have an almost-2-year-old, a young dog and an in-your-face kind of cat, so it's tough at home). I love yoga, it is so beneficial both physically and psychologically. I am actually going to Tampa to attend an intensive yoga therapy training next week so that I can expand my work by incorporating yoga into my counseling practice. It's also pretty difficult to find really good yoga instructors at gyms versus studios (I've taught at LA Fitness for years as a side job, so I can certainly attest to that).
The Red Sun Yoga studio in Winter Springs does offer class passes you can purchase, which are a pretty good deal if you think you'll only go around once a week. For example, you can buy a 10-class pass for $100, which makes the classes $10 a class instead of $15 (the walk-in rate), and you have 3 months to use it. I also really love the Full Circle Yoga in Winter Park, though it's a little far (it's a great place if you like Ashtanga yoga). There you can buy an 8-class pass for $80, and it's good for 3 months.
If you can find time at home, a program I particularly like is called "Inhale" - it's on the Oxygen channel at 6 am. It's hard for me to make myself get up at that hour (if I do, I record it and then get up more like 6:30, that way I can fast forward through the commercials and be done by 7:10), but it's a good, vigorous practice, really wakes me up, and since my daughter is not yet up at that time and my husband is in the shower, it works pretty well.
I hope this is helpful!
