I'm starting to Christmas shop online! I always struggle to find good online toy stores (ones with educational/natural/Melissa&Doug-ish toys).

Any suggestions?

Green Toys, Back to Basics Toys, and Lakeshore Learning. (I think these have all already been mentioned, but they are all great!)

Lakeshore learning has great stuff. More classroom materials than "toys" but good stuff.

http://www.peapods.com/browse.cfm/2,10.html Peapods is local but you can also order online.

http://www.familypastimes.com/ Family Pastimes games are cooperative games that are really fun. We have about 7-8 of these and they are our favorites.

Join Crunchy Cooperative...they focus on lots of toys (especially natural, hand made, or educational) around this time of year in anticipation of the holidays. http://www.crunchy-cooperative.com You will need to register (free) before you can see anything on this site. Then check out the open coops section. And there is a coop calendar in one section that will give you an idea of some of the pending coops. The ladies who run this are very reliable, I have been ordering through them for 2+ years now.

I LOVE Fisher Price; despite the recent recall, I will still shop there. They have great quality, fun, classic type toys, that are educational and/or inspire creativity (ie, Little People etc)

www.oompa.com and www.moolka.com both have lots of simple but wonderful, durable wooden "european style" toys, where the toy sin't playing FOR the kid, like all our electronics, they actually get to yuse their imaginations!!!

I actually work with injection molders and saw these toys being made last week. They are adorable, durable and produced by a supplier that meets some pretty strict requirements.
