I will be taking it soon and was just wondering,if any of you are taking it as well and how do you like it ?
Of course I know everybody is different.I'm not depressed,it is for anxiety etc.I'm afraid it will make me tired, I need my energy for my little soaping business adventure :)
thanks

I've been taking it for anxiety as well. It doesn't make me tired, and it does help take the edge off. I've dealt w/ anxiety my whole life, and just finally started treating it awhile ago.
I haven't had any side effects like weight gain. Low sex drive could be one, but it could also be because of my three kids lol

A zillion years ago (well, 10 or 12), I took Zoloft for depression. I forget the dose, whatever medium is. I noticed a difference in 2 weeks, within 6 weeks I was back to my zoomzoom jolly self. I went off it after about 6 months with no problems whatsoever.

I actually felt MORE energetic on it, and even lost some weight.

Hope it helps you the same way!

I took it to help me with post-partum depression. I did not notice any side effects, and the benefits were huge for me. I felt so much better within a few weeks. I took it for about a year and then slowly went off of it because I didn't need it anymore.

I took it for PMS and it worked well. When I didn't need it anymore I went off too quickly and got sick...... like I had the flu and could hardly get around. I had to go back on and then go off very slowly...... when I did that no problem at all. So....... if the day comes you want to go off, just don't stop (as a nurse told me to do) go off slowly and you should be fine.

I take zoloft to help with PMS. I'm on a relatively low dose and I have never noticed any side effects. I think it works (I suppose I should ask my husband!). And you know, a good diet, exercise, plenty of water and sleep will see you right with your energy.

I took zoloft for about 4 weeks and it took my sex drive away. Caused some problems between me and my hubby.... then i tried lexapro, didnt really do much for me, didnt make me feel different... then i tried xanax and i love it! i took it for anxiety and it helps me so much! i take it at night and it helps you relax and wind you down at the same time releasing just the right amount of hormones in the brain to help control anxiety. Although, i do have to say that xanax is very habit forming so my meds are highly monitored by my MD. good luck!

I am on 25 mg and haven't noticed any side effects either. I call it my
anti-B!tch drug. When I was super moody this is what helped me me a more rational person. Once I found out I was pregnant stopped cold turkey and then started again once I stopped nursing. I love the stuff.

After having my mother, (her dog and cat) and MIL move in with us at the same time (financially they both needed our help), I got onto zoloft after they left, lol... Not really funny...
My house became World War 111 and my anxiety went through the roof (VERY shorty version of the nightmare 4-5 months that they lived with us)... I took 25 then 50mg of Zoloft (which is a low dose) and I felt really good on it... I was on it for about 11 months and then wanted to wean myself off.. I did gain about 10lbs though, boo! My sex drive wasn't there either, boo.... Me, personally, I felt happier!
Good luck and good for you, for being so open and honest~ I wish more people were honest about this, because when I took it, I was embarrassed to tell anyone and I shouldn't have been.

I think it depends on you, your body chemistry and what is causing the anxiety. You may want to start a walking or exercise program.

I took it for seven months for post partum. It made me feel a little better. I think I felt more "numb" and relaxed. But it destroyed my sex drive and I gained 25 pounds in the 7 months. I went off because of the side effects. But I guess that doesn't happen to everyone, so it's worth a try!

I took it after I had my daughter for postpartum depression and anxiety. Zoloft was my life saver, helped me to feel back to normal again. Weaning off it was a little difficult because it gives you "head zaps" but you have to wean off slow and eventually the "head zaps" do go away but it takes time.

I took it off and on for several years for severe PMS and some anxiety/depression. After a week or so of adjusting to the stomach side effects- I did great! I felt better, lost weight and slept well- I took it in the morning as it can cause insomnia for some and sleepiness for others.

Good luck- hope you feel better!!!

I took it for aniexty years ago and had the worst experience! I became a sever insomniac and had halutiations! At one point right before I stopped taking it I say up on my couch with a knife waiting for the person I heard breaking in...of course no one was there. I know my experience is rare but know it can happen.

I took zoloft for a few months. I liked it but it killed my sex drive. My doc put me on an anxiety-only medication (buspirone or buspar) and it has really helped. I would try zoloft though.
