I am a parent of twin boys. When my boys were born I was so overwhelmed and I never had a chance to rest or sleep. We hired Darla for her Post Postpartum Doula services. All I can say is God Bless Darla. Not only did she make the transition to being a new parent easier, she also taught us many many techniques to help ourselves and our babies. She is very professional and friendly. Having someone come into your home to take care of your children can be stressful but with Darla the stress goes away. Frankly, I trust her more than my own family members. If your looking for a Doula look no further. Darla is OUTSTANDING.

Darla was our doula for the birth of our second child, William. I say "our" as she assisted both my husband and I in planning and attaining the birth experience we hoped for. She helped us prepare a realistic and comprehensive birthplan, which we were actually able to execute. She was a great support to me and my husband during labor, and assisted us in communicating our wishes to the hospital staff. Natural childbirth was tough, and I'm not sure I would have been successful without Darla's knowledgable help and support.
I met Darla in May of 2003,while I was taking a local birthing class preparing for my first child, she was there as a student herself finishig her certification for Labour and Delivery Doulas. After speaking with her she agreed to take me on and assist in my labour and delivery. It was the best decision that my husband and I could have made!My personal birthing experience was not what I had wanted but Darla made the transitions much easier for me to deal with. She was soooo supportive and she new my every need before I did and she really helped my husband feel comfortable in taking a active role in the birthing process.Since it was our first child we both needed all the love and support we could get and she really provided it for both of us.After our daughter was born Darla stayed with me until I was comfortable in my post-partum room and made sure all our questions were asked before she went home.Once we got home Darla called to see how we were doing and later dropped by to bring us a beautiful written copy of my daughters birth story(which she loves me to read to her now!)and again answerd any questions we had and gave us some of the best advice and tips I have ever recieved!!!We are now on our 3rd baby and we live out of state and we wish we could fly her in...To put it simply you will miss out on some very amazing services, life changing experiences, and life log memories if you pass up In Due Time Doula Services!!!! Thank you Darla!

I will always remember Darla as a loving presence who helped my husband and I bring our son into the world. She took time over several weeks to prepare us for childbirth and make us feel comfortable with her. She provided a strong sense of reassurance and comfort to both of us during our first experience with labor. Her experience and expertise allowed us both to relax (as much as possible!) because we felt she was there to support us in managing the pain and fear and communicating with the medical team. She documented the story of the night for us and followed up on us over the next few weeks, continuing to be an invaluable resource regarding breastfeeding and surviving those exhausting early weeks. I highly recommend her to everyone!
Darla is awesome!! She will be my Doula for my upcoming delivery (7/13/08) and am so happy to have her be part of this amazing occasion.
I would highly recommend her!!!!!
Darla provides invaluable knowledge and support as a labor doula. She assisted me prior to and during the birth of my 2nd son, who I wanted to deliver VBAC. I felt fully informed the whole time during labor/delivery and the one thing I remember (this was almost 4 1/2 years ago) Darla repeating to me was that my body is doing what it is supposed to do. That was very reassuring since I had never experienced labor with my first child. She is a very calming presence to have with you. I have and would again highly recommend her services!
ps And the birth story she gave to my child is a lovely & touching memento that I love to read.
Darla's presence in my life as my doula, childbirth and lactation educator, and Happiest Baby on the Block instructor, gave my husband and I the knowledge and inspiration we needed to bring our son into the world. Because of her, I was empowered with the information necessary to navigate through today's medical interventions and make educated decisions that led to a natural birth and smooth transition into successful and blissful breastfeeding. She has a gift for making childbirth education fun for both moms and dads to be, and her positive energy and inspired outlook on childbirth is contagious. I cannot give Darla a higher recommendation – she is one of the most amazing women I have ever met.
I attended the postpartum doula training given by Darla and it was amazing. Darla is an excellent trainer and presented the material in a manner that was easy to understand. I know several families tha Darla has been a Birth and or postpartum doula for and they were extremely grateful that she was able to help them. I would highly recommend her services
