Pure Child Photography specializes in images that reveal the unique beauty in our everyday lives.
Pure Child Photography’s mission is to honor the good work parents do each day and to remind them of the pure joy of being a family. Life moves so quickly that sometimes we forget to see what's right in front of us. A session with Pure Child Photography is an opportunity to put aside life's fast pace and to relax and reconnect with those most precious to you. By focusing on the details—a hand, a shoe, a smile—your images will preserve those little moments that capture a priceless work of art: Your family.
As a mother of two and an arts educator for many years, Miki has a special ability to build rapport with children and their families, putting them quickly at ease. To create this relaxed atmosphere, sessions take place in-home or at a scenic location in the North Valley. In the familiar comfort of home or in the unpredictable beauty of a park, the camera is forgotten and true personalities shine through.
Miki's award-winning style is contemporary photojournalism. While Miki does interact with her subject(s) providing guidance and encouragement, she prefers natural expressions of kids just being kids. She moves beyond posed "say cheese" shots to images that capture the individuality and pure spirit of your children. And yes, sometimes this does mean messy hair, boogers and dirt. It is Miki's belief that the images she captures, while taken "in the moment," will become timeless works of art that you will treasure forever, reminding you of those special everyday moments that make up a life.
