Separate or Joint Bank Accounts

Quick survey here: Do you have a separate or joint bank account and why? DH and I have separate bank accounts. It's just something we've always done, no questions asked. But now that I'm not working, I'm thinking otherwise. I get unemployment but at $400 less a month than what I wasmaking when working. I can't pitch in what I used to so I'm thinking we should just combining everything. But I kind of feel like I'm ceding control Yes, it's me. So what's your situation?

529 College Plan????

Has anyone ever heard of the 529 plan. I was looking on the internet for ways to save money and am considering it for my daughter but not so sure. If you have not heard of it the website is texascollegesavings.com. I was just wondering if anyone has done it and if it is a better choice rather than doing a savings account through a bank.

5 Year Old Wont Talk to Friends at school...SENSORY ISSUES??

My 5 year old son doesn't talk to friends at school. He has always been quiet at school at his teachers thought he would grow out of it. Now that he is 5, they are suggesting holding him back from kindergarten because he may not be socially ready. They are also saying he may have some "sensory" issues.
