We are flying out of town soon and are planning to bring my son's pack 'n' play for him to sleep in. Has anyone else done this? If so, do you check the pack 'n' play as checked luggage, or do you bring it as carry-on? If you check it, do you have to cover it with something in addition to zipping it into the cover it comes with? Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks!

My niece is having her baby shower in a few weeks and I'm going back and forth on what to get her. I'm torn between a Pack N Play or a diaper bag full of useful things (diapers, wipes, pacifier, swaddle blankets, etc). I have two kiddos and never had a Pack N Play. However, I did have an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper because both co-slept with us.
