Breastfeeding Is Suddenly Hurting!

I've been breastfeeding my son for 18 months with no problems. I had planned to wean very gradually over the next six so that we're done by the time he's two. He got his two top teeth at about 1, and his two bottom teeth came in shortly after. No problem, he's never bitten me or anything. He now has 4 teeth on top and bottom. He prefers the left boob (probably my fault because I'm right-handed and it's always been easier to have my right hand free if I need it.) He pretty much nurses on the left side throughout the day and just goes...

Bottles for Newborn

Hi! I am expecting a new born in April. Any suggestions on what bottles to use which prevent colic and is teh best for baby. With my last one (2 yrs now) i used medela breast pump bottles and vent aire bottles. He was colicky and i think part of it was due to bottles. At that time i heard to playtex and Dr. Browns. Are they any good , any other suggestions. Also i heard about the drop-ins, how does that work. i was using lansinoh freezer bags for my older son. Any ideas would be appreciated or if you know of a place i would get a good...

Milk Storage Bags

Does anyone know of any breast milk storage bags (for freezer) that can also serve as a bottle liner that works for the actual feeding? It would save the step of transferring to a bottle for the feeding after thawing the milk...less dishes for me!

Schedule for Breastfeeding?

EDIT AFTER READING SOME RESPONSES: My baby WILL NOT take a bottle/sippy cup/etc. Absolutely WILL NOT. I have tried - believe me. Also - he was eating 5 jars a day when he was 6 mos old - but he had to stay in the hospital for 6 days and didnt feel like eating solids. After that stay - he went down to two jars a day and just will not eat anymore. It is a fight to get him to eat the two jars! I am afraid to give him anything like puffs because he wont eat anything with texture and everytime i try puffs, etc. he chokes because he...

Feeding Problems. . . .

I have a wonderful little girl, who is three and a half months old. In the past week and a half, she's really been fighting me when it comes time for her to eat. She makes it very clear that she's hungry (rooting, sucking her fist), but, when I offer her the bottle, she wants to lay herself flat, push her legs out straight, arch her back, and put her head as far back as she can get it. Then, she suckles for a little while, stops, spits out her formula, and screams because I take the bottle away. She generally will finally take the...

Store Brand Formula

At 6 months I was done bf and started my dd full time on formula. We had supplemented since she was about 4 months with Similac Iso Advanced (the soy) So I was feeding her that when we went to all formula. I recently was at Walmart and was comparing the Parents choice brand and it looked very comparable (including soy based) and at $10 cheaper I was willing to give it a shot. She will take it just fine, except she has started spitting up again - we had this issue when we first started bottle feeding, but it had gone away. Can a...
