What's the Problem with My Newborn??

I'm new to the mom thing, this is my first baby she is 4 weeks old. She has had really bad congestion tons of mucos in the back of her throat that started a couple of weeks ago. Nights are miserable with her trying to sleep and breathe from all the mucos. I took her to her doctor, she didn't have any answers other than she has a little cold and is fine? A cold for over 2 weeks now?? We have tried the saline drops, a humidifier, standing in a steamy bathroom, everything! NOTHING is working. She coughs, gags and chokes when she has her...

I usually do humidifier, saline drops , steam inhalation etc to help with the cold. Thanks, M.

7 Month Old Resists Sleep Schedule and Her Habits Are Getting Worse!

Hi there! I've never written in a request before but after last night, I don't know what to do! At 3 months, my daughter was sleeping through the night for 11 hours straight. We bragged about how easy we had it. It all started to go downhill with teething and her daytime nap routine, along with nightime sleep became pretty disrupted. The other problem she has is that she frequently wakes up with a stuffy nose, unable to breathe through her nose, and she wakes up scared and panicked. (we think). I have a vaporizer in her room, I use...

Difficulty with Bottle Feeding

I have a 5 week old infant who has gone through a number of formula changes over his short life, is on reflux meds and gas drops w/gripe water (all suggestions from my ped). I do not believe this is colic as my 3 year old had definate colic symptoms. My biggest concern is approximately 2-3 bottles of his 8-9 feedings in a 24 hour period, he fights the entire bottle. During those feedings, his body makes such large gross motor movements from his head to his toes-he seems so uncomfortable and this continues for hours after those bottles. ...

Taking Medication While Breastfeeding

Hey everyone! It's been windy here the past couple of days and today I woke up sneezing, runny nose and watery eyed. So far I've been coping with my allergies patiently, but it's getting to the point where my nose is getting raw and I randomly spook my daughter with surprise sneezes. So here's the question, is it safe to take allergy medication while I'm breastfeeding? Something like an antihistamines or children’s Benedryl? I haven't done so yet for the sake of my sweetie's milk, but if it won't affect her and provide me some relief.....
