My 5 year old daughter has excema. When she was an infant, it was so bad that she has scratches all over her face. She was reffered to a determatologist. He gave me some cream w/a prescription in it. This does not help her at all. We have controlled the dryness on her scalp by using T-gel ut her skin is still very dry. 6 Year Old with Infectious Dandruff???

Hi, My 6 year old has had a really dry scalp for about 3 years now and it's just getting worse. Her scalp even bleeds. I've tried Dr. Miracle's on her and it really soothes her scalp for the time being but it doesn't do anything for the problem after washing. It use to not bother her, but now every time she gets her hair combed, it hurts. I've asked my beautician what to do about it and she said to put apple cider vinegar on her scalp ( I haven't tried it though). Does anyone have any suggestions or know of anyone with this scalp condidtion?

Solutions for Dry Itchy Scalp

Hi! My Daughter is almost 7 and has a dry itchy flaky scalp. It's only in certain patches of her head but it's bad. I have tried head and shoulders, and other shampoos for dry scalp but nothing seems to work. I took her to a Dermotologist and he gave me perscription shampoo but you can only use it for a week at a time. I heard mint was good but does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? Thanks
