Did You Have a Carseat When You Were a Kid?

So many questions are sparking other questions in my mind this morning. I am 45 years old and not only did I NEVER use a carseat as a child I had never even seen one until maybe 15-20 years ago. Now granted, I wasn't exactly in the baby set in my early 20's so I probably missed their arrival but I am sure no one I knew used them when I was a child.
