Reviews on Front Loading Washing Machine?

Our washing machine recently went out and we're looking at getting one of the front loading ones. We have been out to look at them and have read online reviews, but they are mixed. It seems there are almost an equal number of people that rave about them versus people who hate them and this is for all 3 major brands. I would love to know if any of you have purchased a front loading washer, what brand, what you like, and any problems you may have had. Thanks so much!

Where Did You Buy Your Last Used Car?

I've almost always used craiglist when buying cars. I've had pretty decent experiences. However, now that I'm looking to buy a newer used vehicle, I was thinking of going to Drive Time, since a lot of our friends had great experiences with them. I've never bought from a 'dealer' and don't know if you can still haggle like you can with people on craigslist ;)

529 College Savings Plan?

Hello!!! I am wondering how I start to set up a 529 college savings plan for my son. Did anyone use anyone that was really helpful? I am not a numbers person at all so I look at all that paper work and go crazy! Since I work part-time I was going to try to get this done on my days off without having to get my hubby, who works full-time, to help me! Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

Buying a House!

My fiance and I really want to get our own house. I applied for a loan a few months ago, and we were denied because neither of us have established credit. Since then, I have been applying for credit cards.. But they all say no because we don't have any credit! How are we supposed to establish credit if no one will approve us for anything?!?! And I also have another question! What's the best way to go about buying a house? (We are first time home buyers, so we have zero knowledge on anything!) Should we try to get a house that's owner...

Extended Family Vacation Suggestions

My two brothers and I are planning a giant family vacation in order to celebrate our father's retirement. I was hoping you all could provide me with suggestions for a fun and unique family vacation experience that would be appropriate for around 7-10 adults and 8 children from ages newborn to five-years. We already do a beach vacation once a year and we're leary of bringing kids on a cruise. Any thoughts outside of those two? Oh and I should also mention, camping is out. My dad's more the central AC/cable tv type. Thanks for your help! I...

After 19 Yrs, I Am Getting Married. How Do I Keep My Wedding Expenses Down?

Do we have to have a dinner for everyone at the reception or can we have appetizers? Has anyone made their own food to have for a reception? I don't want to be tacky, but, I have a small budget. What do you do for party favors? Are they necessary? Is it tacky to use paper products like from the dollar store wedding section? I am trying to do it all the right way. We are getting married at Maryville where we met. It seems romantic. So, we are using their chapel which is now the " Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine". It use to be free for...
