Discontinued Crib Conversion Rail Kit Needed!

I own 2 Simplicity Ellis 4-in-1 convertible cribs (now in day bed configuration) for my twins. I would like to convert them to full sized beds, but I didn't purchase the rail conversion kits when I bought the cribs 4 years ago. Now, Simplicity is out of business COMPLETELY. It's like a ghost town online trying to track down anything Simplicity. I've tried Craigslist, Ebay, Overstock, etc , and every baby store imaginable. My next thought is to get any kind of conversion rail kit that would (hopefully) be a close match in color to the cribs....

Moving to a "Transition" Bed

Update: we are transitioning because my little "monkey" has climbed out of her crib twice, both times landing head first. Hello fellow moms...I'm looking for advice on moving my daughter to a transitional bed. She is 19 months old. We have the Simplicity 4 in 1 crib. My husband just converted it today...it is a daybed with a small rail at each end. My daughter does very well with climbing in and out on her own but she was so used to standing in her crib and when she tried this time, she fell out head first. Should we try a toddler bed that...

Need Help Finding a Good Crib

Hello. I'm trying to find a good quality convertible (either 3-in-1 or 4-in-1) crib that cost less than $300.00. Any ideas? My husband likes the Simplicity Ellis at Target for $249 but I'm not too sure about Simplicity since they had so many recalls this year.

Anyone Else Ever Suffered from Sleep Paralysis?

I have not experienced this in a long time now. but,I used to have it quite a bit I guess it is sort of brought on by being sleep deprived and it is kinda when the body is in between sleep and being awake your brain is awake but not your body yet,and so it will feel like your body is paralyzed and you will struggle and struggle to open your eyes but you can not and it is very scary to deal with I guess finally at an point the body connects with the brain and you finally wake up. I have also heard well like buzz noises in between the 2...

Nursery Decoration Ideas

Hi all, I'm 14 weeks pregnant with my and my husband's first child, and I'm already thinking about decorating a room for the baby. We don't intend to find out the sex of the baby--we want to be surprised! That said, does anyone have any ideas that an essentially untalented mommy-to-be could pull off with not too much effort?? Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

2 Month Old Will Not Sleep in Her Own Bed - Only Wants to Sleep While Being Held

We don't co-sleep - it's not a safe choice for my family. My 2 month old will only sleep at night in my arms. Every time I put her down in her own bed ( a cradle right next to my own bed), she wakes up and screams. I end up holding her for hours while she sleeps in the night. But then I don't get much sleep. I'm exhausted! I'm breastfeeding her every 2-4 hours throughout the night. She doesn'l like to be put down much for any reason - she doesn't even like her car seat. I have to "wear" her in a sling!

Personal Problems, Make Friends and Feeling Better??

I have been having a lot of emotional issues in the last few weeks, I love me 7mth old daughter and her dad but lately I feel I have nothing else in the world but them. I feel trapped by myself and I don't know what to do. I have only one really good female friend but I know no one else with kids that I know how to contact. I have no license- I got a fine and now with a kid I am having problems saving money for that and school. I feel like a loser and I am fat... I could work on that if I only could get rid of my stress about every other...

Can a Child Learn to Self Soothe at Night If Even I Can't Soothe Him Sometimes?

I asked yesterday about what to do with my "bad sleeper" two year old. His 3.5 week old brother sleeps better than he does or ever did, and with two of them, I am at my wit's end. When I asked what to do about it yesterday, I got the very sensible advice that its time for him to sleep in his own bed and learn to self soothe at night. Right now he sleeps with me, and even daddy can't get him to sleep. Apparently, the four days I was in the hospital were a nightmare, and my mom was there to help, too. About one third of the time, he...
