Advice/Suggestion On Baby Shower Gifts

Hi...My workplace is having a combined baby shower for three women who are expecting this spring. All three are having their first, all are having boys, and all have had other baby showers. The registry items at Babies R Us are all too expensive, especially considering I have to buy three of everything! I would really like to get something original and something they will use or need. Any suggesttions or things YOU got at showers that were special, memorable, or especially thoughtful?

Which One?? Vtech V.Smile or Fisher Price Smart Cycle or Handheld Leapster

My girlfriend is looking at getting her son (he turns 4 in December) some kind of video game/toy. She is currently looking at the VTech V.Smile, the Fisher Price Smart Cycle, or the Handheld Leapster. Does anyone have any experience with any of these gaming systems? Any good/bad features for any of them? We really just want to know which one her son would get the most use out of... Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Gifts for 1 Year Old Girl?

My daughter is turning 1 in a couple weeks. We are using the new Tangled movie as the theme. I have 2 boys so I am used to trucks and sports stuff lol. Anyway, she already has a few baby dolls, and stuffed animals, her blankie, a pillow pet, ball popper, laugh and learn table, etc... So, I am just not really sure what else to get her... All the stuff listed above is all stuff from Christmas. I found a little disney rocking horse that I want to get her, but thats about it. So, any of you moms out there that have little girls, please give...

Any Mobiles Lasting Longer than 5 Minutes??

Help! My 8 week old loves her Pooh mobile and her Hello Kitty mobile - but they only last about 5 minutes - we can only find Fisher Price and Baby Einstein that last 15 or 18 minutes with music - we want one withOUT music, but WITH motion. (NO music, and YES motion) Any suggestions?? Thanks!!
