Strawberry Watermelon Lime Popsicles
Popsicles are one thing that don’t last long in our house during the summer months. I have tried to set limits on how many the kids can eat in a day. It just doesn’t work. These kids are relentless I tell you! In the end, it’s one of those moments when you have to pick your battles. I just don’t really have a good reason for not letting them have a popsicle most of the day. Who doesn’t love a popsicle, and really it’s like giving them a frozen drink which means it takes a little longer to finish than it would if I handed them a drink. Anyhow, the point is, popsicles are the best! You know what else is the best in the summer? Watermelon. Am I right??!! This recipe for strawberry lime watermelon popsicles are unbelievably easy to make and beyond delicious!
Here’s what you need to make Strawberry Watermelon Lime Popsicles:
• 1/2 cup cut up strawberries
• 2 cups cut up watermelon
• 1/2 lime
• 2 TBSP sugar
• Popsicle mold
Put everything into the blender, squeeze the lime juice into the blender. Blend until everything is basically liquid. Pour into popsicle molds. Freeze overnight. Enjoy!!! This made 4 popsicles in our mold. Depending on the size of your molds you may want to double the recipe.
One word of caution- I purchased our popsicle molds at the dollar store. They broke as soon as I was taking the popsicles out. If you think you will want to make more than one batch or you might like to try another kind of popsicle, I would recommend getting something a little sturdier.
