13 Year Age Girl Birthday Ideas

I can spend $150-$200 on my daughter's 13th birthday--that's including cake, and all the details etc etc. we live in an apt and although we're right by the pool, she doesn't want to have it here and I understand that.
She wants to have a party with about 10 girls somewhere--have their parents pick them up at the party location when it's over and then bring 2 back here to spend the night. She's asked for something like this for 5 years and I have said NO every year, because I would never want another girl's feelings to get hurt. But now that she's turning into a TEEN I would like to figure out how to do this.
She loves Gattitown in Frisco and I think that is a great place-- but I wondered if anyone else had any other suggestion. She and I are stumped!
I just want to make her happy on a budget!!! :)

(her birthday is first week in August)

Thank you!!!!!!!!

So What Happened?

Thank you for the GREAT ideas. She's decided to do an early movie at Studio Movie Grill (we're not using one of their packages... just 4 friends going there) and have all four of them come back here and have a Sleepover and swim the next day. I relaxed and left it totally up to her (within reason) and she seems happy as a clam. thank you again!

There is a skating rink in Plano off of Parker Road. It is called Thunderbird Skate Center. It costs $7.50 per skater for birthday parties with a minimum of 8 guests. You can pay more to add pizza, etc.

have her have the two girls on another night. that way the others would not be offended and your daughter would not appear insensitive.

So if you break it down, you have $20/girl to spend max on this party. I think that you could do something fun at home. I know she doesn't want to BUT you could do alot more at your apartment on your budget than going somewhere else. You could do a spa day. Set up stations and have the girls rotate through...hair, makeup, mani/pedi, mini facial. you can make your own sugar scrub (there's recipies online). Or if she's absolutely set on going to a location what about bowling? movie theater-isn't there somewhere that has the movie and you sit at a table and order dinner? Can't remember the name. I like the idea of the mall scavenger hunt and then dinner and movie. I would also say have the 2 girls over on another night. It would be horrible if the other girls found out, got their feelings hurt and then (god forbid) started being mean to your daughter. Have a fun party!!

Party ideas we like are:
Movies some theatres have a party room
Bowling
Lazer Tag
Renting a community pool
Roller skating or ice skating
Girls spa party like at seventeen salon in Plano (Price?)
Some teens enjoy a "retro" party where they go to a younger party place and "relive" their childhood Chuck E Cheese is a good example of this. Word of warning they either love this idea or hate it.
Have a great party!

Going to the Magic Time Machine for dinner is fun - on weekend evenings they have strolling magicians, balloon artists, and a face painter in the lobby.

Other favorites:
Bowling
Ice Skating
Movies

You can go to a beauty school and arrange to let the girls have a "day of beauty" with manicures or pedicures and hair dos.

Good luck!

B.,
I am a former teacher for Plano ISD and I now have my own business. I have SPA Escape parties in people's homes. I have various themes. One popular theme for teens is a "SPAJAMA party!!!

I come to the party and bring SPA products. I pamper the girls for about 1-1 1/2 hours. I am the entertainment! Then, I leave and the girls can continue the sleepover.

I even have the invitations for the party!!! Please feel free to call me with any questions or if more information is needed.

Have a SPATACULAR party!!!

You could do a scavenger hunt in the mall. And maybe a movie & popcorn. Or do dinner there at someplace affordable.

I have a 13 yr old. We have lots of parties.

Limo, hotel suite, nice restaurant, dance party with dj's, movies, etc.....

I would NOT bring a couple of girls back home on the same night. The others will find out, they do talk among themselves. It makes better sense to have the sleepover another night.
