Just looking for any ideas (unique or otherwise) for my daughter's 16th Birthday party for party favors for the girls attending.

We will be eating, taking a ride in a limo and going to the movies..

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you all for the great ideas!! I have decided to hand out colored beads to wear at the party and then send them after the party is over a DVD of all her pictures of the party with my daughter's favorite music blended in. Each guest will get a labeled CD and case along with a personal thank you card from my daughter and they will be able to keep the memories with them (via downloading the CD or printing out the pictures if they would like to)and remember this day!

Thanks again!!

If the girls are drivers, how about cool key chains?

How about a CD of your daughter's favorite music? You could download her favorite songs from ITunes, (I think it is $2 per song), then make copies and design a pretty cover. She can draw a picture and you can have color copies made at Staples for the cover, or design something on Print Shop or whatever program you have.

I have a couple of ideas:

1. Create customized CD's with the girls' favorite songs. This way, they can also go home and add them to their iPods if they have them, and it's a great memory of songs that you played in the Limo, etc. You can create CD's labels that give the date/guests/etc. You can download free music using Limewire.

2. A really great line of makeup, skincare and gifts for this age - is Mark by AVON. There are really reasonable deals, and AWESOME sales on small inexpensive items. You can put together a pretty gift bag of even sample size items - lotions, lip gloss, pedicure items, nailpolish - for example. They even offer FREE shipping! Check out my site for more info:

How about some cute picture frames....take a group picture or just with them and your daughter when they arrive, print out the picture and put them in the frame to give as gifts.
Or, how about getting pillowcases and the girls can use fabric markers to sign eachothers and decorate them ?
Have fun !

I would ask your daughter what she thinks would be "cool". :) Get her help with ideas and pick from there. :) Good luck!!

I'd have to agree with all of the posts before mine. They've given such great ideas that I don't even have anything to add!

K.,

I love the CD idea. If you are a scrapbooker or into crafting, and have lots of scraps around, you could recover an inexpensive small spiral notebook. Add the girls' names or initials on the front, mod podge it on, add a cute pen and you're done. If you want more detailed info, there are lots of great tutorials out there in blogland. Google "altered notebooks" and you should get some ideas. Good luck!

Hi K.,
a little late, but thought I would still add to the awesome suggestions you already got.

I work in a high school, and all the kids are crazy right now for those drawstring backpacks. They use them as purses, book bags, gym bags, carry-alls, etc. If your daughter agrees, these would make great goody-bags.

I actually sewed one myself, and they are pretty simple to make if money is a concern (then your daughter can pick out the fabrics she likes to make them). They also sell them in most of the little kid and teen stores at the mall.

Let me know if you want sewing suggestions. Have fun: 16 wow!

Here is the online company we used for party favors, they were reasonable and shipped really quick. I hope this helps.

Have a great party and enjoy it. I have learned sometimes we need to keep it more
simple and meaningful. I often try to overdue so much, and the kids are mostly happy to have a get together with the friends and make a memory.

Take care,
K.
