I am a midwife. It sounds like you have an infection. You need to call and get it taken care of.

I had my son about 2 and a half weeks ago. For the past week there has been barely any discharge, but it is brown and smells disgusting. Now for the past two days my abdomen has been hurting. The pain is constant, but the severity of it varies throughout the day.
I really hate calling my doctor unless it's something serious, and would much rather wait until my 6 week check up... But is this something that I should call my doctor about?

Call your doctor now! It should have told you in your discharge papers that if you smell a foul odor call your doctor immediately. This is nothing you want to wait on. You have an infection and the longer you wait the worsse it is going to get. Dont feel bad about calling your doctor that is what they are there for. Call right away....you'll feel a whole lot worse if you end up back in the hospital away from your new baby than you would if you called your doctor just to be sure and it ended up being nothing big. Good luck i hope your ok and on a side note congrats on the new baby.
Absolutely call your Dr. You could have some kind of infection. Please call right away.
I say call the doctor too
you need to call you doctor you probably have an infection
As others have said, call the dr. I remember them telling me these symptoms were things to watch for and get to the dr right away. Hope you feel better soon!
You could have an infection, you must be seen right away.
Sounds like an infection. My mother had something similar after she had a hysterectomy, many years ago. I remember being in the bathroom when she was going pee and just being in the room I could smell a foul smell.
Anyway, she had become infected internally. Call the dr. tomorrow. You need some antibiotics.
But don't worry, antibiotics will clear it up.
yes it serious sound like infection call the doctor!!!!!!!!!!
NO WAITING until 6 weeks with these symptoms...call now, now, now. Somethings up and you need to be taken care of.
