I REALLY like Naturebaby diapers. They are found online and at Target. Give those a shot. My son was sensitive to it at first but then he stopped when I changed to these diapers. They absorb well.
My son is 2 mo. old and is very sensitive to having a wet diaper. He crys instantly when he wets and it will sometimes wake him up at night. This is a problem because he doesn't yet know how to put himself to sleep. I have tried, Pampers, Huggies Snug & Dry and Pampers Sensitive. Has anyone else experienced this? Do babies grow out of it? What can I do to help him?

If you talk to his doctor and its not a bladder infection then may be he is sensitive to the plastic in the diapers try using hemp diapers at night with a wool cover its good natural fibers which do well with babies sensitive skin. hemp is good because it naturally pulls the wetness a way from the babies skin.
My baby girls skin is sensitive and this is what we have done it has worked great for us but every baby is different.
Hope this helped -Good luck
He's probably just sensitive but you should talk to his pediatrician. It could be a bladder infection.
I don't know if you were using the regular Pampers? We used Pampers Swaddlers and then Pampers Cruisers and found them to keep our girls very dry and happy. You might also want to try a barrier cream like Aquaphor to keep the wet off of his skin. He may just have really sensitive skin and the urine sitting on it may cause stinging. Good luck!

I just got a book called Diaper Free and decided to give it a shot. Today was my first day. I basically left the diaper on my three month old, but started taking him to the toilet every 20-30 minutes and believe it or not, he used the toilet almost every time AND he had every bowel movement (about 8 today) in the toilet! I was AMAZED. My husband was totally cynical and was not supportive about it until he witnessed this happening and he couldn't believe his eyes. A few times he did pee in his diaper, but just a little. Most of the time, he made it in the toilet. I think he was so much happier not having to eliminate into his diaper. All I do is hold him against my chest (facing out) while I squatted and held him above the toilet in a sitting position. I made a "shhhhh shhhhhhh" sound and within 10 seconds, he would either pee or poop. It was so incredible to witness. Maybe your son would prefer to do this as well since he is so sensitive to wet diapers. This book also advocates that you have him pee at night when he wakes up. They say that babies rarely pee when deeply sleeping, usually it is when they wake up, so when he wakes for a feeding, you might want to keep a bucket or something near the bed and just squat him over it just as he is waking up, then you can feed him and then put him back to sleep. I know this sounds really way out there, but try it for one day and see what happens. All I know is that it changed our perspectives dramatically and now I am hoping we can be diaper-free by the time he is six months old. We feel like our society has brain washed us into believing that babies cannot be trained until 2 or 3 years old. My three month old completely responds to my verbal cueing and knows how to control his bladder in order to pee. Give it a try! You may be incredibly surprised and your baby may be happier because of it. Let me know. Good luck!
