Hi momma's, my hubby and I have been trying for baby number 2 for a few months. I've been tracking my ovulation, and last month I was 2 days late, had a light period, but was sick the week my period was due. This month, I am now 3 days past due, have a little cold. Took two tests and both were negative. Could I be late because I have a cold? or could I be pregnant, just to soon to test?? I'd love if there were a baby in there, but don't want to get my hopes up. My boobs feel heavier that usual but I've had no other symptoms. What do you think? Should I wait till I'm a week late before taking another test? or could it be late because of my cold? been off birth control since September, and money for tests isn't an issues either! thanks in advance!

What can I do next?

I would go to the Dollar Tree and pick up 10 pregnancy test ( It took
me 5 pregnancys to find out that they are just as good as the ones that cost $10 each ) and I would take one everyday for the next ten days.

I hope that you are pregnant. = )

God Bless You and your family.

Not to put a damper on things, but it could also just be your body adjusting to any hormonal changes over the past few months. Did you use any sort of hormones as birth control? It can sometimes take a few months before your body regulates it's own cycle when you go off of them. Not everyone's cycle is 28 days either. It's just an average. Mine tended to be anywhere from 24 days to 43 days long when I was trying for baby #2. It gets frustrating when your cycle is 43 days long, let me tell you. It reduces the number of times you ovulate, therefore your opportunity for pregnancy.
Plus, you spend a lot of $$ on pregnancy tests at home because you are constantly "late", lol!!
Relax a little. It is exciting I know. But let your body do what it needs to, and you will be pregnant in due time. (pardon the pun). :)
Pamper yourself because you're sick. When your body is stressed for any reason (including sickness) your cycle can be affected. Let yourself get over your cold, then, if you still haven't started 2 days after you are well, give a home test another go.
Blessings.

If you're 3 days late, and want to take a test, take a test- get one of the ones that tells you if you're pregnant before you're even late for better reliability. If money is an issue, wait another 3 or 4 days. :)

I'd say wait another week and then test!
