You could use different colored wrapping paper squares and put prizes in the middle and tie them shut with a string or ribbon. Then you can use any color or themed paper you want and look like little gift packages.
Since my daughter loved searching and finding the plastic filled Easter eggs, I thought it may be a good idea to do something similar for her birthday party. However, I would like to find something other than eggs to use. Any ideas for this? I figure these could be part of the favor gifts.

Maybe you could do a little scavenger hunt. The kids can look for things based on their color or shape.
Hi T., I was reading your request and because I love themed parties I immediately thought of a treasure hunt for your daughters party. You could use a few different objects by themselves or wrapped in something bigger to make it easier for the age group. Some costume Jewelry wrapped in little brightly colored boxes, age appropriate candy in favor bags from the craft store. They even come in different colors too. Ring pops and candy necklaces and bracelets are great too! They kids could even make crowns as a party activity to wear instead of party hats and then they can take them home as part of their favor. Hope this helps. Good luck and have fun!
You can also use jelly beans you can get them now they still have them at wal mart ALSO AT AC MOORE THEY SELL LITTLE PLASTIC CONTAINER THAT YOU CAN ALSO USE
What about a Pirate themed party with treasure to search for?
she's probably into dora. you should do a treasure hunt with costume jewelry with a map to tell where to look. kids like those kinds of things. draw a picture to give clues to where to look. i'm doing one like that at home. it's also good for teaching how to follow directions. what a bonus, fun with learning. good luck.
You could to a treasure hunt. Maybe Sponge Bob theme. You can find little treasure chests at local party supply stores.
Glad sells these tiny containers (I used for baby food storage). You could put candy in these and hide!!
I just saw little plastic cupcakes with removable lids today at Wal Mart. They were with all of the Easter stuff and on clearance, so not sure how much luck you will have finding enough (if any). Little party favor bags would do the trick, or you could check a party supply store to see if they have anything. Good idea & good luck!!!
I just had my son's 3rd birthday party and we had a Cars theme. The kids painted little wooden cars at a painting station and took the cars as their favor. They loved it! Well . . . at AC Moore, Michael's and JoAnn's, they sell these little wooden boxes that you could put things in. You could have them hunt for the boxes and they could paint them after. I am just not sure how much they cost, but those stores definately have them for sale. Let me know if you want anymore info.
This is a little time consuming and you have to start planning ahead...but we used toilet paper tubes and paper towel tubes cut in half. We painted the tubes (birthday kid can help with this) then we cut out round pieces of paper and put them on the ends secured with an elastic. They looked very cute and the kids had a great time finding them.
keep using the eggs.. or wrap every little gift in paper.. small brown lunch bags? AC Moore or the Iparty should have something that would help you.. but I think the eggs would be fine no matter what time of year it was.
A friend of mine did gold coins, but her son's birthday was near St. Patrick's Day... How about little plastic toys of some kind? Best,

Last year for my daughters four year birthday party we did a Dora theme. Her birthday is right around Easter and she had the Easter egg hunt idea in her head too. For the Dora party we used the Dora theme along with stars...las estrellas. I used a stencil to make stars on heavy neon colored cardstock. Then I taped candy and small toys to the back of the stars and hid them around the yard. They were bright enough to see which made it easier for the varying ages that participated. We also made binoculars out of toilet paper rolls to use on our star hunt.
Good luck with the party !
