I'm looking for a few playpals for my 3 year old daughter. She has been in daycare and so she's very social. This year though, I'm working from home and I want her to have some playmates around her age. I feel bad b/c I have another daughter (10 mos) who has lots of "friends" b/c we just happen to know a lot of people who had babies around the same time. So, if you live in Plano and have a kiddo around the same age, maybe we can get them together at a park or play area? You don't have to be a SAHM or anything--weeekends and afternoons work for us too!

What can I do next?

You may want to look into the MOMS Club chapter near you. It is for SAHM moms but some of the moms work from home too. It would be a great way for both you and your kids to make friends and have activities like playgroup to join. momsclub.org
Good luck!

Hi M.,
I have a 2 year old daughter (she was 2 in March) and a 5 year old son (who will attend PISD K this fall). My daughter will go to preschool 3 days/wk this fall. We live right in the middle of Plano. Another friend of mine also has a 3 yo daughter (3 in April) and they stay at home and live near me... We (both families) are relatively new to Plano, so would love to start a little playgroup!

I have a 3 yr old girl, live in Plano and would love to try to get together in a playgroup. I have two boys who will be in school this fall. I'd really love to get involved once the school year starts. I'm new to the area and don't know many other kids her age. I am also interested in the Preschool you mentioned. I would love to have more information, location, cost anything you may have. I am currently researching schools for my middle son and daughter. My son was 5 this May, but is totally not emotionally ready (smart, but strong willed) for all day Kinder. I'm looking at both 5 day pre-K and 1/2 Kindergarten trying to find the right fit for him. For my 3 yr old I'm hoping to find a 2 or 3 day a week program.

Thanks!
K.

Try the posting your play group desire at a local church.

Hello M.,

I have a 3 yr. old daughter (turned 3 in May). I also have a son that just turned 2. I would love for my daughter to meet new friends. We live in Plano near Coit/Parker. My daughter is in a Mother's Day Out Program at Cross Bend Christian Academy. She loves it! Of course, she is out for the summer. She attends on Tues. & Thursday's. I am fairly new to the area. We have been in Plano for about 2 years.

Just email me when you ready to get together.

I have actually been meaning to post the exact same request for months now. My youngest turned 2 in March and I am staying home for the summer and before that his dad worked nights so he kept him during the day. So, the poor thing has never been to daycare or anywhere remotely like it. We haven't found a church in Plano yet so he hasn't even had the kids in a nursery to socialize with. He has his older siblings, but you know how that goes with the age differences. We live right in the middle of Plano as well so we should plan something.
