Hello~I'm looking for a mom's group in central NJ. I don't really have too many friends with children my son's age, and I would like to get together wit hsome moms for coffee, shopping, lunch, etc... to share advice, stories, whatever..If anyone is aware of ANY groups, clubs, programs, etc. in my area, please let me know. i live in Monroe Twp, NJ. but would be willing to travel 20 miles or so. Hi, I'm new to mamasource. I'm a SAHM to 2 girls, 4 and 17 months. It took me a while to find groups in central NJ when I first moved here 3 years ago.
I now belong to a MOPS group (mothers of preschoolers) that meets every 2nd and 4th Mondays from 9:30 - 11:30 at Princeton Alliance Church in Plainsboro. It's great because there's a program for kids 2-5 years and childcare for kids under 2. For the moms, there are refreshments, speakers on parenting, home organization, relationships, etc., and a craft. http://www.princetonalliance.org/ministries/children/prom...
Also, there's a wonderful group called the Moms' Connection that meets every Wednesday from 9:30 - 11:30 at the First Reformed Church in Rocky Hill. This is more of a cooperative playgroup that meets in a rented space, rather than in people's homes. http://momsconnection.org/
There are also MOMS clubs located various in townships in central Jersey. http://www.momsclub.org/
Check out http://princetonkids.org/ for events in the area. It's a great resource for all things pertaining to kids.

Hi M. :) I live in Manville which I think is a little far from Monroe but I had a couple suggestions in the way of groups... have you tried meetup.com? There are lots of mom groups in our area. I am actually part of The Central NJ Moms Meetup Group & also Hip Moms of Middlesex County & Beyond though I haven't gotten to attend any events yet. I do not know if you breast or bottle feed but La Leche League is a good place to meet other moms if you are interested. I go to LLL meetings & made friends with a group of other moms with babies ranging in ages from almost 1 1/2 yrs down to my daughter who is the youngest (6 1/2 mos). I am also your age & if you are interested in chatting I am always looking for other moms to be friends with :) Talk to you soon!

I live in Freehold. How close is that? I have two children, a 2 year old and a 7 week old -- both boys. I am noticing the date on your post and it's a while ago.
Hi M., I am a SAHM during the day to twin 6 month old girls. I live in South Brunswick which as far as I know is not to far from Monroe. I am always looking for new people to meet as I do not know a lot of people in the area and I don't know anyone else that has children. I don't know of any groups in the area but maybe someone time we could get together.
