they all do the same thing!! best advice, changer her on the floor and put your leg over her belly to hold her down, its a little weird i know but at elast you are able to hold her down without risk of her falling off the changing table..
HI Moms,
Anyone have an advice on what I can do or why my daughter might be flipping over onto her stomach and fights me alomost every diaper change? She just went to the Ped for her 6 month check up and her ears are fine. I thought maybe she had an ear infection of course that would be too easy..... She arches her back and flips right away and I find myself losing out (which proves to be messy most of the time) and I am scared I am going to hurt her if I try to restrain her. I do all I can to distract her while I change her sometime it works other times I fail before I have even gotten her pants off. Flipping onto her stomach as a task is nothing new as she has been doing it for many months now so it is not a new milestone issue. Any advice would be wonderful!
Thansk for all the advice. I have tried alot of the new items ideas and stickers on the backs of her hands really seem to get her attention!!

This is very typical behaviour. I always gave my son something interesting to look at and hold while I was changing him. It should be something that she does not usually play with. This distracted him from moving.
My daughter started to do the same thing around 6 months and still does it! I give her items to hold in each hand like a bottle of lotion or a small toy. My diaper changing pad has straps so if she gets really mobile I put the straps around her. It keeps her on her back. long enough for me to change her diaper.
Hi,
I'm a mom of 2, a 4y/o boy and 2 y/o girl. For both of them I found it helpful to have a toy that is only for the changing table at hand. If you keep it for the table only, it maintains it's interest for your child. You may have to rotate toys occasionally anyway, but I found this worked like a charm.
Good luck!
