Hi J.-
I have a 10 month old daughter. She just turned 10 months on 03/14 and she was scooting all over the place on her tummy, doing the military crawl. She started this at 7 1/2 months. I wondered when she was going to crawl and pull herself up, worrying also. I finally just let it be around 3 weeks ago. I stopped woryying and looking up the milestone chart on BABYcenter.com.
Next thing you know, this past week, she started crawling, pulling herself up and being able to sit up from the stomach position. It was literally from one day to the next. My eyes had to do a doubletake! I am not kidding! It seems the last 2 weeks she has absorbed clapping and saying bye-bye. My hubby and I have had to do nothing but babyproof the house today. When she was scooting around she was not able to go up the stairs from the living room. So we did not think twice because the living room was babysafe. Well now, we are literally behind her and the house is babyproofed.
It is fun but your eyes are moving. And pulling herself up is happening everywhere. She has taken quite a few tumbles we are surprised she has not cried.
Enjoy the the time with her and sooner or later, your eyes will be shocked to see your daughter doing new things! My eyes were and I am still at an awe!
