I had the same diagnosis 18 years ago. Like several of the other responders, had the biopsy and cryo-freeze. No abnormal or suspicious paps since.
He, Ladies! I just found out that my most recent Pap came back abnormal. I have atypical glandular cells of undetermined significance. From what I understand there are 2 types of abnormal Paps and this is the less desirable of the two and only happens in 0.4% of all Paps (which is my luck!).
I was curious to see if any of you mamas had any experiences with this diagnosis. All info is appreciated as what I’m finding online is a bit gloomy.
My doctor is going to work on getting me in to see an OBGyn ASAP to do further procedures and tests, but I would love to know what you ladies have learned through experience.
Thanks in advance!

Well I had a Abnormal Pap also and my gyn did a sonogram and showed it was enlarged and I was wanting to have another baby. He then did a DNC 1 week later (Feb 2009)
did a byopsy and it came back that I had a tumor and Uterine cancer stage 1 it was caught early. No baby but it saved my life and I just had a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and I am recovering. But I am blessed I will recover and be here for the 2 wonderful children I have. They are a blessing. I am 38 and couldn't believe I just went through all this before 40. But basically please make sure they test you and check for these things.
Had it, had the biopsy & the LEEP in office. No big deal, but not very fun, feel good procedures.
That was in 1998 & I've had normal paps since.
Good luck! :)
Same as the other ladies....had cryosurgery about 25 years and have had normal results since then. It did not hurt at all. Good luck.
I was in the same boat, with my first ever pap. I had a biopsy, then cryo-surgery. It hurts like a booger! That was 16 years ago and I've had no bab paps since.
Good luck!
