Yes. You can mail them. Normal stamp - even though they are smaller than a postcard...still needs a normal 42 (or is it 44??) cent stamp now...
I bought some thank-you cards to fill out to send to my baby shower attendees. But this morning it dawns on me that these envelopes are relatively small (like about 3x5). Can I mail them?? I asked my husband and he looked at me like I was a weirdo, he didn't think size would matter. :)

I think 3 x 5" is still OK. First class postage is 45 cents now, by the way.
I would seriously question the management of a company that would design, produce, print, package and sell thank you cards with envelopes NOT accepted by the USPS. ( even though they ARE persnickety!)
I'm sure they're fine.
Yes, there is a minimum size for mailing envelopes. Go to USPS.com for size and stamp costs.
Yes, put a stamp on them and put them in outgoing mail. :)
Yeah if it's an actual envelope then it needs the full price stamp even if it's small.
3x5 is fine. Add your 45 cent stamp and mail. Its the quirky sizes that present a problem....square envelopes, odd sizes. Those you have to take to the post office and they let you know what you need to do.
Of course you can mail them. Haven't you gotten post cards in the mail, even smaller ones?

I beleive that's about the size of the green certified receipt reply cards. Yes, you can mail them. If there's any doubt take them to the post office just to be sure.
You can mail any size but if the size does not fit in their sorting machines they have to be handled by manually. I don't think they charge extra. To find out standard sizes and rates google USPS. All of their rules are on their web site.
