At that age I had my boys in parented swim classes, and regularly took them to the pool just for fun. I had them in a couple of play groups. We went to the library for Rock-n-Read. I took them strawberry picking, to the beach, to petting farms, on bike rides, zoos, museums, playgrounds...

You can do so many things with him... don't force the learning on him, though...

Get out pots and pans, turn them upside down,, and give him a wooden spoon.... you each take a wooden spoon and start hitting the bottoms of the different pots... take turns.... you can also comment on how the sounds are different on different pots....

Take plastic containers and stack them up for him.... encourage him to knock them down... he is then learning "cause and effect".....

sing some of the different nursery songs with him... clapping his hands together as you sing them..... "dance" with him as you sing....he learns music and rhythm...

One of the "games" we used to play was "row, row"... sit him on your lap (as you sit in a chair), facing you... take his hands, and sing "row, row, row your boat" to him as you "row" him back and forth....

give him a horsey ride on your lap as you recite "Gallopy trot to the blacksmith shop to shoe the horse, shoe the mare, but let the wee little colt go bare" .... jounce your legs up and down gently while you hold him, like he is riding a horse.....

Any of these activities babies love... they love the interaction with you....

So many things you can do just throughout the day.....

Play peek a boo... they love this!

For a 13 month old, everything is a learning experience. Let him play and have fun. He does not need structured activities. He is a baby.

If you're looking for classes, see if your area has any of the following:
Gymboree Play & Music
My Gym
The Little Gym
Music Together

All of these are excellent programs and you will have a wonderful time watching your baby grow. We've always done Gymboree and Music Together and I can't say enough good things about them.

Kids learn by playing and by experiencing. Go about your day as you normally do. Talk to him about EVERYTHING. The colors, shapes, what you are doing, why, etc. He will learn, don't worry.

Google is also your friend - type in the title of your question and you'll find sites with ideas.

You want him to earn something... as you have fun?
He is 13 months old.

Or did you mean, you want him to learn something.... as he plays?

Kids learn, no matter what. Not only when playing. But play is what they do.
Most everything is "new" to them.
Even if it is the same thing everyday. It is different. Because, at each age they are, they are developmentally and cognitively, changing. So they are constantly, learning. And through all their 5 senses.
