Adapting a Single Bob Revolution for Two

I'm really surprised to hear you've heard bad reviews on the Phil and Ted's! I have one and loooooove it! I researched a lot before I bought it, and overwhelmingly the reviews were positive. I've also seen lots of positive reviews on it in responses on this website.

I just added the doubler attachment and am using it for my 3-year old and infant. It is fabulous. I particularly love that it is so much narrower than any other double stroller. I live in an area that has lots of unpaved walkways, kind of beach community feel, but the point is that we stroll a lot on narrow walkways and across rough, uneven ground. My stroller is in great shape still, despite the pounding it gets. I'd definitely check out the P&T before you rule it out.

I live in southern France (35°C in July) and the streets are very narrow , bumpy as pretty much everywhere else in Europe. We have two kids (2 months, 14 months) and are proud owners of a Phil and Teds, which is hardly known of here. I wouldn't trade it . The double BOB's width would not have fit on my sidewalk. We just added a sunhood for the doubles seat and a UV mesh cover for the stroller.

I don't know anything about converting your stroller, but I do know there are boards you can buy to attach onto the back of any stroller for the older ones to stand on and ride kinda like a skateboard. Also, have you looked into the sit and stand stroller? It won't take up too much room.

So funny, I've been thinking the same thing. I have identical twins and an older toddler. We have a double (actually it's a triple, it has a captain's chair that attaches and also has a buggy board to stand on in back) but we love our single BOB so much that I'm thinking about getting creative and sewing on a buckle to the footwell! I think it would be pretty easy and cheap to have it professionally done. The only problem is that there is no back rest in the footwell area so whoever sits there could only do so for short periods, but my son actually loves riding in it so it must be comfortable. Let me know what you come up with and I'll do the same. It's amazing that the company hasn't come up with something for it. Good luck!

I don't know if their are any products to help with that, But if it were me I would use a front pack/sling for the baby and put the older one in the stroller, or you can get a back pack that the oldest can go into and put the youngest in the stroller.... at least for a while. We are thinking of getting the BOB double stroller for walks and runs, our DD will be 2 when the baby is born, but when we go shopping I wont be able to use it since it wont fit in the aisles at the store so I plan on using the front pack until DD is a little older and can manage walking and being good at the same time:)

I had the single BOB- loved it- went up to the double- it's soooo big and heavy...was so happy the day I traded back to my single. I agree with everyone on the sling and single BOB but if it's that hot, I wonder if a back back would be cooler for child. My son will ride in the foot rest- until my younger son takes his two feet and shoves him out! It kind of works but I think it depends on the kinds of kids you have- mellow polite kids would be perfect. I have also seen people with the second (small) child sitting on the handle bars/cup holder- again, what kind kid of child do you have. You also might reconsider the Phil and Ted- everyone I have ever spoken to loves it- I've never heard of quality concerns. I hope this was somewhat helpful- good luck!
