My daughter is going to be 5 yrs. old this Friday. Today she noticed her bottom tooth wiggling & by afternoon (during lunch) it fell out. Tonight she noticed two more bottom teeth wiggling. Is that normal to have so many teeth coming out this fast? Anyone else's children have this happen to them?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I finally got a hold of the dentist. All is fine as long as the teeth are coming out on their own but they can't get the girls in for their annual cleaning until April!

Thank you for your replies! It's hard watching my girls grow up. I want them to stay little! :)

My son lost his first tooth a few months before his 5th birthday. He lost another shortly after that and then at 5 1/2 he lost three more all within a weeks time. I was concerned because our daughter didn't lose her first tooth until she was 6. Our dentist says not to worry -- some kids just lose their teeth earlier than others.

I am a child care provider and had a family that had children that started losing their teeth at 3 years old. That was normal for them but it was a freaky thing to see.
So it is probably fine. I know, it's just that norm is around 6 yr.
I would probably consult or just call the dentist to be reassured.

I freaked out when my daughter lost her first tooth before she turned 5. The dentist had no concerns what so ever. She said some children just loose them early and have mature teeth early.

I have a 12 yr old daughter who started losing her teeth at 4. Per our Dr. she has the mouth of a 14 yr old and it is perfect. He told me the only thing to remember is that her period will probably start earlier than most girls but so far, that has not occured.
