T.M.
No, don't even know who she was. I'm very sad about the 82 children that were needlessly killed in Norway who weren't famous or rich or addicted to drugs, they died for no good reason at all....very very sad.
They are not yet releasing the cause of death. Were you a fan?

I am much older than most moms on here. Her voice was reminiscent of the old black blues singers that I love. I was just starting to follow her (just put her on my iPod), so am sad that we have lost this talent. Anytime a human can't control that which is so deadly to their bodies is a tragedy. My sympathies to her family. RIP Amy.
This is really sad, but she was a hot mess. She was just in the news for being too intoxicated to continue a performance.
I feel badly for her family.
She was young and talented, but lost the fight with her demons it would appear.
Sad.
I liked the rehab song, and I sing it everyday to myself at work (the word 'rehab' comes up a bit). She was a train wreck waiting to happen unfortunately. I wonder if anyone is really surprised.
EDIT - i need to rephrase this - I wasn't a "fan" - I DID like her music...however, I'm more concerned about the terrorists attacks in Norway...
I'm truly sorry that she died....she had a serious drug problem...they are probably trying to ensure they tell the right story and not give the paparazzi some bug to scream about....
As a friend of mine said in her Facebook update today..."Maybe she should not have said "no" to rehab."
I was not a fan. I really could only identify her "Rehab" song, and while I liked the tempo and her vocals, I didn't care for the message. I didn't seek out any more of her music, but I did feel bad for the path that she was clearly taking. Even though I was not a fan, I am sad for the state of her life and her family that she left behind, and any fans who were touched by her music.
No. Yawn. Lots of people can sing. I have no patience for talented privileged people being self destructive. I apologize if she was murdered or died of natural causes. Meanwhile thousands of Somalian kids are starving right now and the death toll is way up on the Norwegian shooting all those kids of opposing party members. That is sad. A. Winehouse? meh.
I feel more sad for the almost 90 children that died in Norway.
Not a fan of Amy Winehouse. She was an overpaid singer who probably overdosed on drugs, sadly. It is devastating to hear that anyone has died, but I find it far more tragic when it isn't some looney bin millionaire.
Such a tragedy, she was a great singer, and full of soul, and unfortunately, bad judgement too. This is interesting; she died at 27, just like Janis Joplin, Jim Morisson, Kurt Cobain and Brian Jones (Rolling stones).
I'm sad for her family and her. I've kind of kept track of her and what was going on. 27 is way to young she was a great singer when she could sing. I am just sad for her.
I was not a fan though I thought she was talented. I'm not surprised since she obviously had a huge addictions problem. Addictions are stubborn but I think out culture would do better to steer people toward treatment sooner and not ignore or tolerate the problem.
I liked her music. I'm not surprised at her passing though. She was destined to die young.
She was very talented. I am sad, but not shocked. I am somewhat surprised she made it so long, and I wish she could have cleaned up and made it longer. Sad story.
It is sad, she was extremely talented.
Unfortunately her lifestyle was not hidden from the media. I am one who believes the media tries to make a story, no matter who they take down.... This is entertainment and politics. I hate media right now and don't watch news.
Many stories were told of her about her drug use. I don't know what was true or not. She did seem very troubled. I hate to see anyone of her age die so young. I do believe she had a lot to give if she were on the right track as in no drugs.
Sadly, I'm afraid Lindsey Lohan is next. She's a trainwreck waiting to happen.
I am very sad, I think it is tragic when anyone dies at a young age, but I am really sad because in my opinion I thought she was extremely talented.
I couldn't STAND her. I always thought of scabs, open wounds and needles every time I saw her. Her disgusting appearance gave me nightmares.
The little I did read said she went on a binge and overdosed. I was MORE surprised she MADE it to 27.
I saw that. I didn't know who she is. I'm sorry that so many people are unable to handle their addictions.
How did you do the flowers in the title???
Wow some people are harsh I tell you. She had a great voice, when I first heard the song rehab yes it was very catchy, I was shocked to see what she looked like. She isn't in any way a role model, but she was a human being who DIED today. Come on people, don't like her don't listen to her.
Well, I have no idea who she was.
Oh I see she is/was a rock star.
Are we all supposed to be surprised? I don't mean to be crass, but most of them make terrible life choices.
She should have gone to rehab. Not a fan, but that song always got stuck in my head. I'm not surprised either, but what a shame to die at the age of 27.
I loved her voice but her denial to get help drug use was the death factor, I am sure the results will show that. What a waste of talent. 27 yrs old and drugs for many years. Surprised she made it this long.
Yes, but we all know its was an overdose. She shouldnt have listened to her dad.
Not a big fan, but she was sick, had a serious disease, that like most diseases, left untreated, killed her. Tragic.
Untreated addiction *always* ends in O. of the following ways: recovery, death or institutions (jails, hospitals). Sadly, hers ended in death.
Are they going to release the cause of death? I am pretty curious to see if it was drug and alcohol related.
