I have an Android based phone and have my e-mail pulled through Yahoo. My problem is that I have A TON of old e-mails on it that would be hard to go one by one and delete. Is there an easier way to mass delete? Say it is so!!

What can I do next?

If you have it synched up with Yahoo, log into your email via Yahoo and do all your deleting there. I don't use Yahoo mail, but I can mass delete from my computer for gmail.

BD:

Go to the bottom of the screen when you are in your e-mail.

see the "more actions" tab?

Select all - and then select delete.

You can do it from your computer as well. If you are using the "chrome" or "google" version. If you are using the "mail" app? You can go to the lower right corner - there are 3 squares in a row...tap that...select all and delete.

Good luck!

I don't know but on the iPhone I had that problem until I went into the settings and reduced the time frame and number of emails I get. So all old emails are not loaded and even so, it only loads 20 at a time.

Also, since you have them all loaded now, it might be easier to just delete the account, change your settings and then add the email back in. Iphone has an "edit" button that makes deleting emails easy but, again, I don't know the Android system.

BTW, when you delete from your phone, make sure it won't delete from your email account (unless you want to). There are different settings for that. Most of my emails I don't want on my phone but do want to keep so I have mine set to delete from phone but not from server.

I agree it would be easiest to log in through a PC and delete them there.
