I have a family gift exchange and I picked my 12 yr. old cousin. I am not real sure what to get her. I do not see her except at this x-mas party...so any ideas would be great. Thanx.

What can I do next?

I know it sounds impersonal but gift certificates are my daughters favorite gifts. My 11 year old has recently gotten into shopping and she loves to pick out her own stuff. Claires is one of my girls favorite places the other good place is Target that way she can pick out clothes or toys electronics what ever. Good luck.

i would go with a gift card also. there is nothing better than being 12 yr old and having $$$ to spend. maybe either bath and body works, old navy, or limited too.

or maybe, as one of the other ladies stated, is a basket filled with goodies. when i was 12 i was into fixing my hair and playing around with makeup. maybe you can get her some hair things and some lotions, body sprays, lip gloss, socks (girls love funky socks), little bracelets, earrings, the list good go on. and she can use the basket for other things. you can make a really nice basket for around $20.

hope that helps! let us know what you ended up getting her!

My daughter is 11 years old and she loves anything to do with Bratz dolls, scrapbooking supplies & kits, hair accessories, Bath & Body Works "American Girl" products, games, DVD's, and CD's. A CD walkman is always a nice gift and for fairly inexpensive. Hope these ideas help.

My daughter is 13. She would love gift cards to places like Claires or Old Navy, iTunes or some other media-music store, or good smelling stuff from Bath & Body Works or similar bubbly bath type lotions and soaps. That way you wouldn't have to worry about clothing size or style preferences. Enjoy your holidays. P.

Hi A.,
I have a 12 yr, old daughter and if she's anything like mine it should be pretty easy. My daughter loves clothes and make up the whole nine yards. You could find out what her favorite store is for clothes (my daughter's is limited too) and get her a cute shirt or a purse . I know that Hollister and Aeropostal are also pretty popular. My daughter also likes it when I get like a cute basket and just fill it with all kinds of different things. I would make it a basket that she would want to use afterwards to keep things in. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

If you go to Walmart.com, they list the top selling items for boys and girls by age. This might be a great tool to give you ideas for what kids her age are into. Best of luck!

My daughter is turning 10 this month and the thing for her and her friends around here (even 12 year olds) is a stuffed animal called webkinz. I buy mine at Playmatters here in Solon or I know some of the malls have a kias in the middle of the store that sells them. They are cute stuffed animals that come w/a tag w/a code on them. You can then go onto the computer use your code and your animal is a a virtual animal on there. You can buy items for their house, play games, you have to feed them etc.. w/your other friends through the internet It's really cute! I even like to play sometimes. They are very reasonably priced too. The webkinz are $12.99 or you can get what they call Little Kinz which is a smaller stuffed animal, same thing for $7.99. You can also order them on Ebay. Regis and Kelly also showed them on their show the other morning when they were talking Christmas toys.

Hope that helps!

I have a 13 year old boy. I can tell you they will be happy with anything on their list. Ask the mother to share ideas or what is on her Christmas Wish List. Another resource is buy those gift cards like Visa or Mastercard or even a specialty store as long as you know they have a store like that around them to use it with. Word of caution though, when buying those cards, buy them at a store where they are kept behind a counter. I have heard that criminals are writing down card numbers and calling to see when they are activated and using the numbers on-line. I still think that is a terrific way to go as long as you buy them correctly where no one can have the numbers.
Good luck on you search.

Hi A.!
What about a Gift Card to Limited Too, they have great clothes for kids and preteens. Or something from Bath & Body Works. I think every girl loves lotions no matter what age!

Goodluck and Merry Christmas!

Wow that is a hard one. I don't know what to tell you. You can call her mom and talk to her about what she is interested in. The best thing I know is Hello Kitty. Watches or jewelry work also. She is almost a teenager, and this is the age where they get picky. You can always get her a gift card(American Express or Mastercard) so she can get whatever she wants and you won't seem like the corny cousin. Good luck and remember, If all else fails get a gift card!!!
